Honestly he doesn’t deserve much more. You can’t take a pay cut for injuries from your current contract when renegotiating if your form doesn’t warrant the money you are already on. Problem with turbo is he thinks his value is based on his 2021 peak.

Think you need to look at who is saying what. Fox/NewsCorp have said there were negotiations,Nine Entertainment(100% Footy,SMH and DCE) say there was no offer until he appeared on their show.Its all a dog’s breakfast at the moment and it could be easily sorted if there was better leadership at the club

agree but if reports are true then you just don’t conduct business that way. If you couldn’t get your number at negotiations face to face you don’t cave thereafter. Genuine premiership threats clubs don’t do this.

He is totally worth 900k+ is he stays reasonably uninjured. But at 15 games per year, not so much.

Would have thought a bit better co ordinated by whatever internal club recruiting processes and even if the intention was for a more formal offer as opposed to a more tentative approach which may have initially occurred .
Regardless , like the D C E situation , has to be still a more pragmatic outcome taking precedence
That figure more around the 750 - 800 K mark , pretty hard to go past based on the past 3 seasons or so
Media scuttle bug no doubt not helping matters but the fact Manly are apparently prepared to go to a 3 year deal , surely some indication that they are even prepared to take a bit of a risk approach , again considering Turbo 's past 3 years level of game availability and indifferent form
Guess that the club intrinsically, has to draw the line somewhere with realistically based contract offers [ or more official ] ,
Turbo a more Manly type icon then many prior high profile players but as much as i am sure , an almost unanimous Manly supporter wish for him to play out his career with the club , has to be tempered again with some contract realism , especially over a 3 year contract deal
And still have Jake to go yet and most likely , no package deal on offer this time

They’ve always been about the money but because of the surname and being local juniors people seem to have the blinkers on.

Seems a lot forget about the bidding war we had to get in with the bulldogs in 2019 to re-sign them both on overs. While their father also got a top job with a club sponsor.

They’ve been paid extremely well and have delivered zero.
