I guess this is a good thing that Turbojet gets to mix with the State's best players, even though he won't play SOO (at least in Game 2).
Personally, I'd have picked Mansour on the wing now that he has returned from injury - and he is a specialist winger. Why our selectors experiment with players out of position in the most important matches escapes my logic.

Good for Tom to get some SOO experience with the squad training. I personally dont think he is a State of origin winger. Morris did a great job last time and mansour is the best winger in the game imo. Need a tough robust winger in state of origin. You have to do a mountain of work and cop a fair few wacks.

Great to see tommy going into the extended squad.

Also glad to see morris being re selected. Typical performance from him in origin 1. Nothing brilliant, nothing wrong. Just a solid tough performance.

I'm hoping Turbo gets into game 3, maybe on the back of a Morris injury. I think it would be good for him to make his debut this year since Jake has... it would be great to see them playing together for NSW.

Origin is littered with players being selected out of position, and both states have been guilty of it.

With NSW, from as far back as I can remember they rarely pick specialist players in backline positions other than halfbacks.

I still think he is about 12 months away from being ready. Sure he can cover the wing, but he has the potential to make mistakes (costly ones) that a canny opposition will try to exploit. We don't want to see him unnecessarily sacrificed on the great SOO pyre like David Williams or Jamie Buhrer.

The Morris twins and Mansour will not let you down.

There are at least 4 fullbacks in the backline at the moment. Surely 1 more couldnt hurt?

Tom looked really down in the footage of the team song after Friday's win, and you could tell it was because he was brought back early to have a big game that would demand an Origin selection. He was obviously the original choice for Morris' spot pre-injury, and they went with Morris on experience and are sticking with him after the success of Game I.

He'll play in Game III if NSW lose Game II, or be forced to wait until next year.
