Think that it would have been more on an individual basis or in some lobbyist capacity .
Australian Gov had some junior diplomacy reps there , the Ambassador , conveniently visiting another part of China
But yeah , apparently 10 years ago ,the then Coalition govt had an actual minister attend a similar event
Raised some eyebrows when Dan Andrews attended a more select gathering but guess it would be up to him to state his reasons for that

Making money while hanging out with some of the worst mass murdering dictators on earth. The guy is a creep and probably one of the most bent politicians this country has seen. His criminality surpasses Bob Carr, Neville Wran and Joh Bjelke-Petersen. The fact he chose to be photographed with a collection of dictators who are plotting to destroy our way of life is nothing short of treasonous.

My Grandfather and Grandmother (nurse) destroyed their lives fighting in WW2. Their sacrifice, like many others who did the same is the reason we experience the freedoms and lifestyle we do. Or what remains of them at least. Forget your liberal/labour bias for a moment and call it out for what it is. A betrayal to every Australian by an ex politician whose career is littered with cover ups, corruption, overreach and secrecy. He deserves to be in a jail cell, and one day he will face justice.

If you are so naive to think he is clean, then you can't be helped. No different to the Trump fans denying the corrupted deeds of his past. You left/right fan boys are unreachable.

Trump, Andrews, Biden, Albanese, Morrison, they laugh at you guys. Knowing that in the end it wont matter what they do, you all hold fast to whatever crap they spew out. Swing voters is where it's at. Those rare individuals who pledge allegiance to what seems right rather than a blue or red sticker. Looking for a semblance of truth and liberty in a world of lies and broken promises.
