Trump

Like I have said it is not possible to say if he is senile from a distance.

What I am asking is if you think that this sort of rant shows someone who is mentally sharp. Also we all know that every poli tells lies but this is just so bizzare like most of his rally speeches.
I wouldn’t call this a rant - he is taking the piss for the most part. His rally speeches are all like this. It’s just stream of consciousness stuff that is playing to his audience.

I much prefer a leader who speaks his mind, in his own words, rather than someone who can’t even follow a pre prepared script without stumbling into incoherence.

The point I was making is that there were rightful questions over Biden and his ability to do the job. Trump talks like this on a daily basis and that is not an area of concern for you?

The ramble rant that ends up going into a stolen election rant again?

Also do not get me started on the irony of the "free speech" party and how he treats any news organisation (including fox) that dares to ask him a tough question
On press access;

Going to leave this particular thread as we are not getting anywhere

When ever I raise any points all I get back is mainly what about “insert Democrat” here

That’s disappointing. I see it more about providing some balance to the one sided narratives about Trump, and the inherent hypocrisy in criticising him for apparent failings (eg press access, coherence in public statements) when the same standards were never applied to his predecessor.

You made a statement that trump is anti free speech, to which I provided ample evidence that he is far more open to the press than his predecessor. To my mind that is the value of these debates - gaining an understanding of both sides of the argument, rather than simply getting someone to agree with you. Let’s face it, no one is going to change anyone’s mind here anyway, much like every other topic on this forum. I still think there is value in the back and forth, but so be it.

The thing is the previous administration was not exactly far left.

Also to be clear I am no fan of UFC and can not believe that we live in a world where the president is saying he will put it on the white house lawn?
Straight out of Idiocracy the movie.

Re free speech this is where I think it is good to have press conferences it is not good to control them in the way they do (seeded in right wing sites like the my pillow guy)

Also re thread I meant not the total topic rather trumps speeches

Serious question, or point ...

sufficient Welfare, health care and adequate homeless shelters etc in a civilization ... are the direct result of a strong economy ...

Should any President of the United States prioritise welfare over the re-establishment of a vibrant local economy? Or should welfare be proportionate to the strength of the economy?

Should any US president give 2 shakes of a wombat's butt cheeks what any tariff he imposes to support US industries does to the Australian , Mexican, Chinese or Canadian economy?
