Trial V Wabbits

They have back up refs, maybe they should have some paramedics on standby too for these situations

Lmao.
Has this ever happened before?

Not to my memory.

Maybe they should have back ups for the back ups, just in case two randoms have heart attacks

Love the politically correct BS spin the NRL put on.. stating its the allocated paramedic officer who's had to leave.....no..it's NSW Ambulance services and the 2 paramedics on that crew.. run by the NSW government..call out as it is.. don't try watering it down to not having a paramedic on site....they need an Ambulance Crew.. which is a Paramedic but includes an Ambulance and there are always 2 Paramedics.

The reality is this shows the huge demand and stress put on our nsw Ambulance and hospital system.
I've got friends who work as Ambos they can sit at a hospital in line with a stable patient onboard for an hour or 2..
Pretty sure we have all had a visit to a hospital emergency room and sat there for 2 or 3 hours.

The NRL just trying the cover up on the service not wanting to embarrass the state government.

I'm over it..can't listen to these dribble commentators anymore

May not get a game today.. they are obviously waiting for the ambulance to get back to the ground.. they won't start until the rostered ambulance crew gets back after taking care of the patient on site and then taking them to hospital.. that could be a 2 hour process depending on the seriousness of the patient... if the patient is stable in the back of the ambulance they then join the emergency patient que.. so that could be a while... and they will not dispatch another ambulance crew as when a crew is allocated a sporting event they are not on public duty.. other crews are.

Wow thats great service if only two hours. I heard a guy in a country town nearby cut his leg a while back and rang 000 but told the ambulance was at least 7 hours away.

A friend took him too hospital but he eventually died of complications - wonder if the ambulance had got there immediately like it would have once before all the the cuts to all the services in the country.

Most important to balance the budget.

When there are events with between 5k to 60k people yea I’d be pretty certain it’s happened before

Ok. Happy for you to confirm that.

And if so, why should an NRL trial match take more than one paramedic out of the system, leaving less for the general public to utilise?

In reality, if it gets cancelled, we come back tomorrow, or Monday, and go again.

I don't recall a match being postponed or cancelled because of something like this happening.
But I do remember an origin match having a few minutes cut at the end of the first half because someone in the crowd was having a heart attack, was possibly 30 years ago.

They are asking for persons from the crowd...lmfao

What.. here's an idea I'm an Ambo im going to the footy and I'm taking my ambulance with me.. hahahaha

Totally BS and spin from the Fox dribblers...

They need a nsw Ambulance

CREW.. not hist someone from the crowd

It's all about the Ambulance crew and that's it.. they have no ambulance..and it shows two things the lack of actually available Ambulance and the lack ot planning from the NRL.. bet they book 2 Ambulance crews to every game from here onnin.

Call it off ..all the BS spin..and finally they are trying to be a little honest.

Whilst we all hope the person is ok - it seems like amateur hour by the nrl/govt. to have a 70+ min delay because of this.

didn't Chris Anderson have one at half time when he was coaching england (or someone) years ago?
didn't even delay the second half!

hurry tf up!

I think the crowds are apart of the general public…

Hard to fathom how the NRL have had zero contingency built into their match planning, overtime there have been a fair few players transported from the ground in an ambulance and the games have continued.
