Actually he played that game against NC then I think we let him sign with Souffs and then out of spite we didint play him at all in that game where we had no 1/2s of course we lost ,and of course that also contributed to us not making the top 4 ,,nice

Humphreys tore Souths a new one playing 5/8 for Blacktown in the NSW Cup game ... the same day we played Tommy Talau at half (not blaming Tommy) and lost 14–0 to Souths.

He made his first grade debut 3 weeks later against Newcastle (we had the bye after Souths, DCE was back from Origin for the win in Townsville, then Humphreys made his MotM debut as we blew the Knights away 44–6 ... and he hasn't played a Premiership First Grade game since).

We could only offer a min wage deal for 2025, like his previous Top 30 contracts. Souths offered more, and the opportunity to have the No.7 jersey. We literally couldn't compete with that whatsoever. He is not better than Brooks or DCE, at least not right now. Anyone who suggests we should've released either of them for him is kidding themselves.

Coach asks another coach about a player. What, was Ennis supposed to say "nah mate, he's ****. Rubbish player"? I'm happy that we aren't such poor sports that we would go down to that level.

He didn't get a run in that Souths game because he'd been playing hooker. Talau had been training for many weeks in the halves according to Seibold. Humphreys hadn't. If it was out of spite, he wouldn't have played the Knights.

No..So, Humphries played well in a well beaten side. Humphries came on 10min before halftime against a team that's well in front. You don't think Saints might of just clocked off after racking up 34pts.

He had some good moments today, played well and made the most of his opportunity, that’s what trials are about put your best game forwards and he did.

After watching the two trials we haven’t seen Joey Walsh yet, but for me after watching Arthur and Matterson we are short with depth in the halves.

Matterson is a complete waste of a roster spot. Arthur isn't much better. This time next year I'm pretty confident that both Walsh and Large will be ready to eclipse them.

I don’t think we released the messiah to Souths and some trial form is a small sample size. However, I would have kept Humphries instead of GCKT. Whether he would have stayed for Gordon’s contract length/value, is another matter though.

I watched Brisbane yesterday and Corey Paix, who I don’t rate that highly, was clearly superior to anything Manly has at hooker. Pretty scary.
