Michael Chammas has reported that Jazz Tevaga started at hooker in the scrimmage today against the Dragons. Simpkin played the second half.

If true and that’s the round one selection, I think it’s a backward step.

I figured they would run Tevaga at hooker, after all it's just a scrimmage, and they would have to provide both Tevaga and Simpkin, both with some NRL experience, an equal shot at the #9. It may or may not indicate what they will do come round 1. What's more interesting, is no GCKT.

Simulated match scenarios? Sounding a bit like both teams ran some of their training drills with the other teams players defending for a bit may be.

And then later more of a game type opposed session Scrimmage.

It might be they only scored once in Scrimmage the ways it's worded.

But yeah clear as mud.
