I guess it also means the season starts a little earlier , and that can’t be a bad thing.

Des will probably rest the top 13 or so players again, and have two teams of 18-21 year olds out there, in various combinations.

The journos and silvertails will write manly off again.

And if we play the tigers again, their big trial win over manly kids will be hailed as the dawn of a new era.

Watching our trials is an annual ordeal, but previously limited to only a few of us. Surely we don’t have to have a national audience! 🤢🤢🤢

Probably a good idea in theory until Fox (and Nine if they also show the games) deciding on when teams play and against who.
The networks will also demand X% of the regular team play most the game.
If they let teams decide on who they play against and when and which players play it should work well but I can't see the media allowing that.

Teams should play one trial against a bush team and the other against a NRL team taking most the games away to the country fans.

Agree, I prefer our pre season injuries to be picked up in Saturday night match races on the Corso, or alternately, in the shower
