Funny I thought the same thing sat night. They have taken a number of fringe and top 8 scalps and are playing some tough committed footy. However I took a closer look and at best they can end on 24pts and their f/a is completely shot at -166. So I only just gave ur post an optimistic rather than funny. Happy punting tho.

Can't see it happening. I had a go on the ladder predictor and they would need every result to go their way and would need to pick up some serious point differential. Sharks and Tigers play each other in the final round so (unless there is a draw) one of those teams will end up on 24 points and the tigers are currently 100 points up (sharks +160).

What intrigues me about the Dogs is that at the start of the year all the media was reporting how dire their salary cap position was, and now they are (reportedly) throwing out huge offers to star players.
