Ok so we will be sitting nicely on 20 points next week with 11 rounds to go . Without looking to much into who we play leading into the finals , and on any day in form can beat anyone , i see us say dropping 4 games from the 11 remaining and finish the competition proper on 34 points . That 34 points and thats losing 4 of those 11 should have us close ( with congested sides below us ) Im backing us in .

Yes, we are in prime position to make a surge into the top 4.

Our next 3 games, all away, Sharks, Warriors, Panthers will probably decide if we are going to be a top 4 team this year.

I am expecting us to win all three of those and be in 2nd or 3rd spot in a months time

Think we only had 8 wins all of last season and we've had 8 already in round 14 this year. It's a great result already.

Yes and no - losing Snake and Matai before we start wasn't fortunate.

Top 4 would be an amazing achievement. In our 11 games left 8 are away from Brooky. I think we need to win at least 5 games to make the finals. If we win 6 or 7 then top 4 is a good chance. I think we need to ensure we beat the Warriors and Tigers twice and pick up 2 to 3 wins from the other games. It will be a huge challenge and the team has some real incentive moving forward.

I be happy with in the 8. We play storm, sharks, dragons and roosters. We do have 2 games each v Panthers, warriors and tigers.
I be happy to finish on 30 points we should get in 8.

Losing Jorge has me somewhat concerned, he's so unstoppable from 10 meters out and almost irreplaceable running the ball out of our own half.
Wright is a solid replacement but Jorge has been a huge part of our 2017 puzzle and will be sorely missed.

IMO it levels out with Writes sideline convisions. Wont have the power to get to the line or hit up ability like Jorge but an upgrade on Walkers 59% with the boot. One or the other for mine

Horhay would have grabbed those couple of chances last night with open arms, Mattie Wright didn't ( and yes I know atrocious conditions).

Fair point. Obviously I meant losing big players to injury, but would we be so far advanced in our rebuild if those two were still around? Probably not.

I don't think we have the depth to be top 4, in fact where we are now simply amazes me but I think even position 4 is a bridge too far.

I don't think it's lack of desire, or bad coaching, just every other club has 1.4 million ( or thereabouts) more depth than we do and that's a big big advantage.

So proud of their achievements to date, and to finish in the top 8 ( which I think they'll do) is far far more than I expected , but top 4..........optimistic at best!
