Trivia alert - I played a few games against him when he was a centre for North Curl Curl - they had a great centre pairing of Terry and my old mate Bruce (Broomer) Yaldwyn who was a fireman at Narrabeen (a few years later)

Who, Terry Randall? Well he is probably in his 70’s so only natural he has lost a bit of pace. Could still outmuscle our plodders though I reckon.

In Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography, he recounts asking Sir Donald Bradman what his Test average would be if he were playing today. Bradman replied that it would be around 70, which Tendulkar found surprising given Bradman's legendary average of 99.94. Bradman then quipped, "Well, 70 isn't bad for a 90-year-old!"

On a similar theme, back in the pre-war days, there was an old SCG member who would sit at the bar and watch the cricket in the mirror behind the bar. He reckoned that Bradman was the best left-hander he had ever seen
