I am not suggesting Manly does even want him but if they did Greenslime won't approve anything whilst the crap is going on with the cap issue.

Manly is possibly the only option for Carney, and I see he's said in the media only yesterday that he'd " walk to Manly if it meant a start in the NRL" .

For $85k ( min player payment these days) he could be great value for money as a backup plan if the youngsters don't work out or God forbid Cherry copped a long injury.

The key I feel is Greenslime, it's clear he hates us with a passion and as we haven't just rolled over and taken our medicine that level of hate would be even higher.

If it was anyone other than Manly, Carney would have been cleared, signed and started pre-season training with them almost 2 months ago.

Greenturd will try to block Manly at every turn and right now unfortunately he is being aided by this salary cap BS. The longer it drags on, the harder it will be for us to sign anyone else.

So what is the latest with Hastings? Is he in the picture or on the outer? Carney may be more reliable!! We are most likely to use 4/5 players in the halves this year due to form and injuries. It is not out of the question that Carney (if we sign him) could be the buy of the NRL comp (ie price and performance).

Agree it’s a joke they banned carney for the bubbler, a stupid thing to do on the piss, when the likes of packer, lodge etc can play. But if you palm the jamil hoppa ban off by saying the world is against us, you obviously don’t know the victim. He kicked the absolute **** out of the poor kid, people have died from less beatings.
