I like Lauren, Lord.

She's a Manly fan too!

Didn't know she was with Carney...

She may want to start packing for the UK (and the Super League) if she's still with him.

I cannot see any NRL club taking him now; and perhaps fair enough too.

Three strikes, you're out, seems more than appropriate here.

She's no manly supporter, more like a scumdog supporter and fits right in with em. The gal has lost her way since her poor old man tragically passed away.

"On 19 May 2013, Eagle was arrested at Northies Cronulla Hotel and charged with failing to leave premises when requested.

She had recently split with her boyfriend, rugby league player Todd Carney.

On 9 January 2014, she was ordered by the courts to leave her Mother alone after a dispute over a family dog".

Well maybe she's bi-coastal, so to speak @OneEyedEagle

She was a regular on the Footy Show spruiking her love for Manly and doing the now defunct Lady Luck segment.

Sad to hear she's had some issues too these past 12 months.

Somewhat star-crossed, her and Carney, right now.

Cronulla should get the number of the place that the Bulldogs sent Barba to. It worked wonders for him in less than 2 weeks.

I can't help thinking that if Gallop was still around that this couldn't be cleared up over a cup of coffee much like Todd's DUI charge was. No need for sackings, just the support of the games CEO and a slap on the wrist. Todd's biggest mistake here was that he wasn't playing for the Roosters at the time.

The fact is that Carney is a 28 year old man (i.e....NOT a kid) who has had a history of alcohol related problems. With his history the last thing he should have been doing is something like that in a public toilet, prank or not. These days pretty much everyone has a phone with a camera so anyone could have walked in on him doing that. Imagine if it was the manager of Northies or whatever the place is called, do you think he (assuming the manager is male) would have been all that happy to see a high profile footballer doing that in the bathroom of their nightclub? What would have happened if Damien Keogh had walked in and seen him doing that? Or someone like David Smith from the NRL?

Footballers are human, they make mistakes on the field and off it. But there are mistakes and there is stupidity. When someone repeatedly does things like this l would say there is a problem. Did it warrant his sacking by the Sharks? Maybe and I can understand where they are coming from.

Just because someone is a talented football player that doesn't mean they should be able to do what they want off the field and get away with it. Its not like he did that in the toilet at his own home, he did it at a nightclub where almost anyone could have seen it, and as it turns out almost everyone now has.

Part of me feels sorry for him. It was not like he bashed his missus or sexually assaulted someone. However with his rap sheet and the fact the sharks are struggling to get sponsors I can see why they had to punt him.

Yep, not the crime of the century at all.

Just in context (being Todd Carney) and with several warnings with the Sharks already, including this year...Enough.

And even as a joke goes...Not real funny anyway!

I feel sorry for him and he probably does need help but im so sick of these footy players that get paid very well and continue to do stupid things. Where are his good friends and family to keep him on the straight and narrow? Why is he hanging out with dropkicks at Northies? Why does he continue to drink when it only gets him in trouble? Playing professional sport is a privilege, perhaps the best thing for him is to work a 37.5 hour a week job like the rest of us for an average wage then he might begin to appreciate the life he could have had as a footy player.

No it isn't, as only specific genders may utilize it at any given time.
Legal definition is that a person has the right to expect privacy in the confines of a toilet.

If Carney had pissed himself in the middle of the dance floor at Northeys - then that would constitute a public place.

So are you saying Carney is perfectly within his rights to be doing what he was doing, when any other male at the venue could have walked in and seen that filth?

No I wont have it...my two favourite posters arguing!

Carlton, Bundaberg, VB, etc etc
League bosses want everyone to purchase as much alcohol as possible … but … don't ever be seen getting drunk.

Carney has paid the price for embarrassing the game once too often with alcohol-related activities. His act in itself was harmless larrikinism. But the game wants alcohol dollars.

Therefore any public drunkenness is a big no-no, because it is a reminder of the ever-present down-side to massive alcohol consumption ... which the game is paid handsomely to promote.

Carney can't go to England, he's already tried that and can't get Visas due to his criminal past.

He's whinging about being betrayed, but in the end of it if you aren't doing stupid, disgusting things you're not going to get photographed doing stupid, disgusting things.

Off to Rugby for him, where strange rituals and secret handshakes are the norm.

And who can say if it was a ''drunken act of stupidity'' or just an act of stupidity?

You'd hope he was intoxicated, because it looks a lot worse if he was relatively sober at the time.

It's us who are assuming he was drunk.

To me, it was just a joke.

Yeah yeah, sponsors and stuff, i get that, but gee...to lose your livelihood over something like that. He didn't hit or hurt no one.

Mal, he didn't lose his job over this incident, he lost his job because this incident was one incident too many.

No Super Rugby club in Australia will want him. I can't see him getting a Visa to play in the UK, France or Japan. Good luck digging trenches on building sites Toddy.

Talented on the field and lunatic on the drink. This man/boy should have been assigned with an 140kg Islander 'Minder' to look after him in public as he obviously can't do it himself.
Feel sorry for his mum and sisters and for him too in some ways but enough is enough.
I know I'm bringing up the past but didn't Gallop protect this serial offender on some occasions stating that he needed help from the NRL, all the while he stubbornly refused to acknowledge he got it all wrong with Snake.

Can't help but think that none of this would have happened if the Sharks had of lost on Friday night. The irony!!!

Meanwhile....over in toddy turdknuckles dome of protection land.......

Canterbury back-rower Reni Maitua was so drunk on the night he abused a taxi driver that he tried to make a phone call from an eftpos machine, a court heard on Monday.
Maitua was found guilty of intimidating driver Abdelhamid Bensaidi, but magistrate Mark Buscombe decided not to record a conviction for his drunken outburst after a boozy night out in Kings Cross

Must be nice to have the teflon todd's protection racket as a dog.

This carney stuff is disturbing me.Forget for the moment what punishment or what considerations or lattitude should be given to carney.Because Fu.... if I realy know.

Rightly or wrongly,I feel uneasy about the attention it is attracting

Not long ago,we had a thread about depression, mental health and what pressures are placed on people regarding expectations. We noted this with a warning of containing heavy content.

Much of these expectations real or perceived can have a real impact on individuals and those around them.

I am a real novice with social media and forums such as this but do read enough about how people feel harrassed or even bullied or discriminated against on social media or forums such our great site where we can share stories of the mighty manly warringah sea eagles.

However,I can't even imagine the feeling of despair, helplessnes of having an act like this exposed(when it was not meant to be)and joked about, ridiculled and commented on by millions of people.

I too, laughed at the jokes but now have a feeling of concern for the man.

I know it can't be supressed but ****,Imagine his mum, familly and the man himself.I just know what it is like to stuff up bigtime and just wonder how the fu-- did that happen

I reckon that there have been many people who have behaved or acted in a manner at times when they thought no one was looking that would be embarrising if it became public.

I even sugest that in the confines of dressing sheds and mad mondays before the digital world came to town that similar or equally embarrsing antics would have gone down hidden in the sanctions of teamship.Race days,Bucks and hens nights are notorious for poor social behaviour

Again, really divided in my own mind on sacking or not but do not think we have put enough work in understanding why did he feel that he had to skylark like that in front of a friend.I would bet that he was not the first and that the shot would have been shared by others who had done the same thing.snort the salt and lemon in the eye party trick.

ANY ONE HEARD OF SWORD FIGHTS LADS.USED TO HAPPEN REGULARY ON THE SGC HILL Just never captured on camera.

I hope that he finds the help he needs and can some how realise his talents and put them to good use.

Lets be clear. Carney did not get the boot for this act. He was signed up under a BIG warning. One wrong step and you are out. OK so they went soft on him and after 2 warnings he was still there. They can not get a sponsor. Sponsors need value for money. It was this attention that will make it near impossible for the sharks to get a sponsor. At the moment their main shirt sponsor is a struggling NGO that looks after kids!!

Whether Carney had an excuse or not it was that final incident that tipped the scale. Should he have been sacked for what he did recently .. absolutely NOT ... should he have been sacked .. absolutely YES.

I might be wrong but I can not remember his incidents being against anyone or injuring anyone. Just drunken behaviour. We have guys playing that have beaten pregnant woman so the game is not too precious.
