We went today , at about 10am.

I reckon about 200 people sitting around ( and had been since 7.30am), paid $20 to get in , stood in the shore for 15 minutes , decided that a coffee was a bitter option.

Left at 11.30am, Dolphin Count

ZERO

I’ve seen more where I live in Redland Bay than I did this morning !!
Yeah typical Phins, promise a lot but not much produced as yet @:D

That backline the Tigers have named has 3 people I've never heard of. Am I out of touch or is that actually a backline full of nobodies?

Another tourist scam. Plenty of them around.

He probably is a nice guy but he's not even playing. Saying he hopes the Tigers fans show Brooks no mercy and to boo him for 80 minutes, after all that Brooks did as a Tiger, I think is pathetic.

Settle pettle. It's just pre game banter.

One of those rare ARL games I got to as a kid outside Kogarah Oval. I'm thinking it was about 1979? Dad drove me up as a kid from W'gong to see the game (he was a Saints fan, and I was a Manly fan). It pissed down rain, couldn't find a car park, wasted time trying to find somewhere to buy umbrellas, arrived for the second half, Manly lost. Thankfully, it was once only, but precious memory nevertheless.

I do recall Larry Corowa making a big run down the sideline, possibly even scoring. One of my fav non-Manly players at the time.

Arghhhh it's one of those huge 'complacency' games that really worries me. I'm sure most of us and the players can't help but be thinking, "Ok so we'll beat this mob and then who are we playing next?" I think the first 10-15 mins will tell the story. Ideally we go out aggressive and disciplined, treat the footy with respect, complete our sets, kick to corners etc.. But let's face it - it's not how we're coached and therefore not how we play. And it hasn't been for years. We're all about using our 'weapons' with zero respect for tough defense, patience or any grit. If the Tigers execute well when given opportunities and have at least 50% possession we can easily drop this one through apathy and just expecting it to happen. If we can't put together a genuinely pleasing 80 min performance now it'll never happen this year. Fingers crossed we get it right. Go Manly
Yeah I think what happens in ‘complacency’ games, is we come out flat and the opposition gets the jump and maybe 2-3 tries. Suddenly we switch into gear but the opposition have their tails up and it’s often too hard to wrestle back momentum. That’s why the start is huge. We have to get going early and prevent the Tigers from believing.

I agree re the starts. Thought tho we weathered a pretty solid Warriors start last week in this area. Maybe we’ve grown a bit on this area. Perhaps some coaching influence even.
