I’m more worried about the Leichhardt factor and the footy gods, than the Tigers footy side. We haven’t won many there over the years and the stats show even our really strong premiership winning sides in the 90s didn’t win there often.

Our last NRL victory at Leichhardt (I think we won a trial there a couple of years) was 17 years ago. I also recall a game during the Barrett era where we got out to a really big lead and collapsed and lost on the siren. There’s something weird about our relationship with that ground.

I watched the Tigers Souths second half and honestly there were holes opening up in that tigers defence all over the place. Our backs should tear them apart. Would be great to get a good amount of Manly fans to the ground to help nullify the locals and the ground hoodoo. All the history aside I really can’t see the Tigers getting remotely close to us in this one and neither do the bookies.

Saw this on the Tigers site and cracked up. That is gold. They have zero confidence of a win.

A disciplined performance will get Manly the win. Seibold will* remind our players to make sure they don't give the ref/bunker any excuse to bin them, because the bin and penalties are the only way we lose this. Lot of grey areas for the ref and bunkers to create havoc just now in the NRL.

*(if he forgets to - sack him!)

If we don't win by 30+ I'll be surprised. Here are 5 reasons.
1. Heath Mason
2. Solomon Alaimalo
3. Solomona Faataape
4. JuniorTupou
5. Charlie Staines
I’ve never heard of the first 4 blokes. Honestly I don’t know if it’s because the comp has expanded to 17 teams but there’s a lot of Neville’s running around in the NRL. I look at every team these days and draw a blank at some of their players.

Would expect the Tiggies , just like the Warriors to at least have a decent crack and for Manly to go into the game expecting nothing less .
Looks like Seibs sees Lawman more in the Cam Murray role in and around the ruck area ,
Like Burbo on an edge and especially with his form in recent times but can understand Seibs reasoning currently with Lawton .
Probably would expect Haumole to have a bit more of an impact this week .
Backline should be able to go on with it .
Good methodical play should get the points , never can discount some dodgy ref"s calls and especially on a hostile playing location but surely not to the extent of really being detrimental to Manly "s prospects

Arghhhh it's one of those huge 'complacency' games that really worries me. I'm sure most of us and the players can't help but be thinking, "Ok so we'll beat this mob and then who are we playing next?" I think the first 10-15 mins will tell the story. Ideally we go out aggressive and disciplined, treat the footy with respect, complete our sets, kick to corners etc.. But let's face it - it's not how we're coached and therefore not how we play. And it hasn't been for years. We're all about using our 'weapons' with zero respect for tough defense, patience or any grit. If the Tigers execute well when given opportunities and have at least 50% possession we can easily drop this one through apathy and just expecting it to happen. If we can't put together a genuinely pleasing 80 min performance now it'll never happen this year. Fingers crossed we get it right. Go Manly

Plus there's always the ref finding 20 "6 agains" in a row that can totally gas Manly if he decides to do the struggling tigers a solid.

Thanks for Posting @The Wheel
This is going to be more of a Massacre than a Battle
This has got to be the Mismatch of the year
The last on the ladder Wooden spoon Toothless tigers are no match for the superior finals bound Manly team .

This game should not be shown live on free to air PG TV
The Graphic Eagle carnage of the helpless Wooden spoon tigers should be an Adults Only watch
Peter V'landys for God sake . Stop the fight . Just give Manly the 2 points and the Toothless Tigers the Wooden spoon

The BBQ present Irony ....
Last Season The West tigers fare welled Luke Brooks with a portable BBQ
Luke will bring the portable BBQ at the ground on Thursday and Cook his old club Well---Done

Adam Doueihi calls for ugly act towards Luke Brooks in Manly player's return to Leichhardt Oval

Brooks is set for an emotional return to a ground he called home for a decade.

Adam Doueihi has called on Wests Tigers supporters to show former fan favourite Luke Brooks no mercy when he makes an emotional return to Leichhardt Oval with Manly on Thursday night. Brooks played 226 NRL games for the Tigers after spending more than a decade at the club, but will now line up for the Sea Eagles in what will be the 29-year-old's first game back at his former spiritual home ground in Sydney's inner-west.

Brooks was celebrated as a hero the last time he played at Leichhardt, with Tigers fans chanting the playmaker's name after he left the field in his 200th match, following a 66-18 flogging of North Queensland. But the reception for Brooks will be very different on Thursday night and Doueihi says his good mate should expect to be booed by those same fans who once sung his praises.

"It'll be good, back at Leichhardt where he has played all his footy," Doueihi said. Hopefully it is not a warm welcome for him." Doueihi says there is no bad blood between Brooks and any of his former teammates but the Tigers centre admitted he fully expects home fans to mercilessly boo the Manly five-eighth when he runs out for the Sea Eagles.

"I hope so, for the 80 minutes," Doueihi said about the boos he expects Brooks to receive. "It's all part of the sport and the fun and games. We had good fun with Brooksy here. I am really good mates with him, (it) will be good to go up against him and try and get the win."
Doueihi is not even playing, is he?

Good lord what a beat up.

From the original article in the SMH (‘He’ll be booed … they booed him as a Tiger’: Brooks prepares for Leichhardt return )

Tigers centre Adam Doueihi watched Brooks shoulder the blame for the Tigers’ failures on many occasions over the years, and said he hoped fans would respect his years of service to the club.

“Hopefully it’s not a warm welcome for him,” Doueihi said. “We had good fun with Brooksy here, I’m really good mates with him … he copped a lot of flak, especially wearing the No. 7 jersey at the club for so long.

“I’m glad to see him doing well with the change. You don’t hear his name in the media anymore, and there are no negative articles about him. He just has to play his game.”

If you haven't yet been to the feeding the dolphins, I suggest that you wear something bright or something that makes you stand out from the crowd. There's a good chance you'll be chosen to feed the dolphins
We went today , at about 10am.

I reckon about 200 people sitting around ( and had been since 7.30am), paid $20 to get in , stood in the shore for 15 minutes , decided that a coffee was a bitter option.

Left at 11.30am, Dolphin Count

ZERO

I’ve seen more where I live in Redland Bay than I did this morning !!
