We have to make sure we turn up on thursday and not think we have got this in the bag. They play really good at Leichhardt and they will be determined to take another scalp in us. We have to be ruthless with them
A true story for all us Manly fans.

The masters soccer team I play in are coming 2nd in the comp. Two weeks ago we rock up to play the team coming last. Nothing we did went our way, and lost, 1-3. We were missing only one player due to injury. This team coming last had already conceded over 40 goals.

On saturday just gone. Our team were missing our no#1 defender, both centre-mids, our leading goal scoring striker and our right wing, to take on the full strength team coming 1st. We had no subs on saturday, played in the pouring rain and cold weather....wasn't pleasent
We won 1-0.
Motto of the story?

The Tigers are crap but can still beat us if we go in thinking if the win is in the bag.
Committed team work will get results.

The Tigers are there for the taking.

The Tigers are there for the taking.
Yes , We should take them and take them to the cleaners and inflict their biggest loss of their miserable season

To lose against them would be to stoop down to their mediocre level and this would be unacceptable heading into the finals

Looking forward to seeing us knocking the final nail in their wooden spoon coffin

We just need to make sure we are fully focused on the task at hand here
Can't speak for everyone else here ... but I certainly am! @:D

In almost sixty years of supporting Manly, I have NEVER seen Manly defeat the Tigers away from Brookvale, starting with the 1966 prelim, then the 69 prelim again, lost in the last minute, 1988 semi loss, and numerous Leichhardt Oval games.
Come Thursday night I'm nailing my ar$e to the wall at home.
… now that’s gotta hurt!

Just sayin’

  • Wests Tigers have won their past four games against the Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.
  • The Sea Eagles have won their past six games against Wests Tigers.

The last time we played at Leichhardt Oval we won.
It doesn't matter that it was against the Roosters, not the Tigers.
And it doesn't matter that it was in front of no fans, due to covid lockdowns.
The important thing is that the Manly boys remember how to win there.

Brooks will either have a belter or get tilted by the Leichardt faithful, no in-betweens.

Didn't think much of this game until I took that into consideration, like many have mentioned we've got to be switched on come Thursday.

Leichardt Oval was one of the venues I got to watch an NRL game back in the day… I’m guessing it was about 1981? We drove up from Wollongong, it was pi$$ing down rain, we were late trying to find a park, Corowa burnt us with a try down the sideline, and we lost. Never want to visit that $hit hole again. 😂😂😂

They ain’t even at a mediocre level Bozo. They are lower than that.

Resolute defence helps win the lesser profile games as much as the bigger ones and especially a necessity towards the business end of the season so ideally just as much emphasis on this requirement as some good and clinical attacking plays .
Maybe will not be that significant leading into the finals but maintaining a healthy for and against can only be a bonus as well

The Truth of the matter is how low can you Go ?
and no club has ever , ever has gone as low as the West Tiges

Any team that is running last and is heading for their third straight Wooden spoon is an embarrassment to their club and a Disgrace to the Elite NRL competition
To deny this fact is living in denial

AT Manly we have never Denigrated , Defamed or Shamed our Legendary club or its people with a wooden spoon and we have been Despised by our Premiership wins and we should never show any mercy against any opponents on and off the field
We wont be showing any Mercy to the Miserable Tigers this week either

There is an article on Fox Spots

Manly playmaker Luke Brooks will be “booed for sure” when he returns to Leichhardt Oval to face the Wests Tigers on Thursday night, according to teammate Aaron Woods.
Unquote

Well let me say this to all the West Tigers Booers
You have Booed Luke Brookes in his West Tigers colors a loser over the years
This Year you will Boo Luke Brooks a Winner in his Manly colors
When Manly Humiliate your team and deliver your third Disgraceful Wooden spoon
The People that run your once famous west tigers club should hang their head in shame in the way your club ended up in shambles

From Scott Bailey AAP

Bit of early mail out of Manly. Tommy Talau won’t play this week with a pec injury, but he’s been cleared of anything major. Should be available for round 26.

Gordon Chan Kum Tong also cleared of a shoulder injury. #NRL
Great news on Tommy T , our backline just looks more assured with Talau in it.
