This sin bin edict....

In all seriousness all 4 sin bins in our game were nonsense.

I enjoyed us carving up a 11 man Broncos but they were not worth sin bins.

NRL need to be careful here they don't ruin the product.
They've done this for years after notable unpunished incidents.

The 2013 Origin match that followed Paul Gallen belting Nate Myles (without punishment) saw 4 sin bins for a pretty minor scuffle for example

Next round normal service will resume

Ridiculous. It's hard enough for a team to defend with 13 players with the new rules and the pace of the game. To try and do it with 11 men is impossible. Game was done and dusted in that 10 minute period, for two infringements that required nothing more than a penalty and perhaps a report for Riki because of the use of the head. As if the refs didn't have enough influence on a game. Surely this won't last the weekend, they'll burn down Suncorp before Sunday arvo if this goes on every match

To be honest one of my pet hates is the threat of the sin bin but not carried out..look at last week when we had the Warriors shot on the 2nd tackle under the sticks - the Keppie strip. No sin bin, we gambled of not taking the two and they won the gamble.
Tonight it was repeated infringements/ high tackles so sin bin #1, the head butt was a non negotiable for # 2- soft headbutt but really on report or sendoff.
It shouldn't matter what the score is or whether they've already got one in the bin or not, the double sin bin didn't affect the result tonight, they were cooked regardless.
It shouldn't be the talking point but it was 26-6 when the first sin bin occurred, they were never coming back from that.

Gamble’s wasn’t even a penalty, play on. Riki was a deliberate attempt at a headbutt, 10 minimum, if he makes contact he gets sent off.

The two Manly ones were deliberate professional fouls, agree with the sin bins. In summary, agree with 3 out of 4.

NRL speed up the game, which in turn causes more fast paced collisions and head knocks. Then make out like they’re being the good guys for throwing people in the bin for shots that the game has seen since it’s existence.

I just don’t get their double standards... Also is it just me or was there never this many concussions before the rule changes?

Once again, Parker’s head seems to be some sort of trophy for opposition sides. Rikki deserved to go. And was impressed with Lionel getting the shiits about it too. The other sin bins were pretty soft.

Robinson cries like the spoilt red-faced little bitch that he is. NRL hand down a suspended fine. Greaseball makes a call to his slimy Greek mate - and this weekend is the end result. Bloody corrupt disgrace.

At least Mr rugba- league V'landys lost his court case with the ABC. Suck a horse choad Peter.

Broncos toed the line tonight.

PVL sent out a clear message, and as pointed out, Broncs had 3 penalties for head-highs in the first half already - Gamble was one of them from memory, and 4th head high tackle is a 10-min sin bin.

They can't just announce they are protecting players and that players will be sent off (I read that as red card to be honest) during the week, then let them slide on game-day. Credibility would be shot - and PVL has too much ego to lose cred.

Whilst I agree Gambles binning in particular was a rough call for the kid, it was a repeat offence - have a look at how many Brisbane players went on report that game! 5 I think, maybe 6. Some people get sent to the bin for mild ruck infringements because their team-mates have perpetrated repeatedly beforehand.

If it ruins the spectacle, then Broncos can blame themselves for playing dumb (in the case of Riki) or playing careless (in the case of Gamble). Walters to his credit didn't try and use that to obscure the weak performance of the Broncos - and face it, they were poor tonight after the 20min mark.

The game was well won before that binning happened - the SinBins just opened up the door to the abattoir, where we dutifully carved them into tender rib-eye fillets.

And wasn't it just glorious to behold 😀

Next week, it will hopefully be a lesson on how to skin an Eel and decorate your sushi rolls!

It's all sh1ts and giggles tonight, but wait till Manly cop a couple in the bin like that. The Racing man is feckin the game - he's just doing it in a different way to his predecessor.

Just another talentless overpaid fizz d1ck with an out of control ego. Ken Arthurson and Dan Quayle must shake their heads and weep.

The main issue for me will be the consistency of the sin bin, I can’t see the officials binning players like tonight in 4 weeks time.
