I just feel the importance of minimising points is of utmost importance, especially the finals and Parker brings this and is generally a safe, reliable player.
Walks has flashes of greatness, mixed with a few errors and defensively a weak link....and this is no disrespect, but will be a target in every opposition coaches gameplan.
I don't expect to change your opinion Bozo and you know what, it's all just opinion in the end...but just wanted share why I prefer the current lineup 1 - 13

We will agree to disagree feathered friend as my benchmark perspective of a safe reliable player is not one that has handling issues and his deficiencies of being a slow striding , one dimensional and predictable player is a liability in both defence and attack

Des has said we need to improve across the board as a team to challenge for the finals
and Parker has had plenty of game time in the centre position to show his dominance and from what I have seen he has plateaued ! What we see is what we get from Parker and it is as obvious as Sea eagles wings that we need to get more out of our left centre to have the balance of power across our team and become a more formidable team leading into the finals.

The fact is that there is Absolutely NO Advantage of being slow in any position especially in the back line . Slow is not the Go in todays fast game and the games in the finals speed up another notch and slow players get exposed .

Some solid points Bozo - but here's the catch...
You can only beat the best with a great team...not everyone can tackle like a demon, not everyone can be fast, not everyone can kick the ball well, not everyone is elusive and so on......and while you make the very fair point about Parker not being a gamebreaking tryscorer - he doesn't need to be....we have players who can both create attack and score points....he will not be the 1 to win a game with a 90m try, but he just may make the defensive reads and solid tackles to save them, which may prove even more vital, as it then allows his team mates to advance the scoreboard in our favour....
