Des hasler actually talking and making sense.... no umming and arring he spoke well. Poor bugger finally got some sleep me thinks

Great players do bring confidence to their team but Great coaches also bring confidence and lift their team to play above their weight on a consistent basis

I'm not expecting much difference with Turbo in the team.
Especially for his first game back.

The rest of the team isn't pulling their weight and Tommy running out won't make much difference.
I just hope he gets through the 80 minutes and is able to play next week, I'm expecting him to last anywhere between half a game and 3 weeks then be out for the season.

Tommy is an Elite player and Elite players do make a difference

A good point you made was that all the other players must pull their weight and also make a difference as well so we can be a dominant TEAM .

I do not agree with your pessimistic expectations of Tommy not lasting

A doze of winning can make all the difference

At the end of the day .We all want Des to be a winner . No one wants our team to lose

We must look at the over all picture

The storm did not buy internationals . They hand picked young bargain players with potential and in time they became rep players . In the mean time after losing world class players like Slater and Cronk and Inglis when every one thought that the Storms era had ended . Bellamy created a new one and remodeled his team to be number one again

Bellamy has also average like Players like George Jenning , Branko Lee , Reimes smith , in his team that play consistent footy

Watch the Kayo mini of his return v dragons in 2019 after a hammy injury. I did last night. Wholly heck you forget how lethal he and Manase were with dce and Jake pushing up in support. I watched a bunch of games from 2019 in the minis last night win v Storm, smashed eels at home. We were bloody good and in paper not a much different side to now. Manse just had us playing over the advantage line the whole time. And I never really noticed how smart he was too. Eyes up plays, crisp service. Gee I hope he gets back for us. Just a natural talent. Those with Kayo I urge you to rewatch some of those minis. Bloody great viewing!

Fair comment. I wrote some time back that both tommy and manase were more influential as spine players than DCE. I expected a little more from foran but i presume he will come into his own once there show starts, and the backpeddaling defence that fainu helps bring with his abilities you have just mentioned

And that was even before schuster enters the fray.

If we had that spine fit all healthy, the work experience boy could play 7

If our forwards aim up against the Titans pack
Tommy’s return will be much easier , If the team thinks all is good now with Tommy back there in trouble
Hopefully Manly get the upper hand and Tommy can have a successful return which in turn results in another win

Just read an article that said Turbo did have a hamstring strain during the pre season and had only just recovered when he had his "bathroom" slip. This was reported by the mole when it happened but was quickly shut down but now it seems the mole may have been correct. Geez I'm really not confident he will get through the season. I'll be nervous for him every time he has a run, this feeling will probably last for this whole season.
