Could be, but as you know highly talented representative players don’t need as much coaching as the not so experienced players.

For me the senior players have let themselves and the club down this season with their on field form and efforts, look at the two most highly paid players defensive efforts over the last month.

They’re the defensive efforts you get when you no longer want to be there and/or are busted.

1. 3 senior players complained they weren't happy with Seibold - date unknown;

2. the club extends Seibold - on 16th December 2024, according to the club's website:

Can anyone see a chronological error in that sequence of events?

Also, if the players were so unhappy with Seibold as coach way back then (pre-2024 season), how did we end up in the finals last year?

So now we've got all the media circle jerk clowns piling in on Manly saying it's a toxic place to be and $CE will be better off at the rorters next year. SO WHO THE FU*K caused the so called TOXIC environment in the first fu*king place. Unbelievable the absolute bullsh*t trail these circus clowns leave behind them. All I know from watching every game this year is the 3 players reportedly complaining (DCE, Tom & Jake) have been crap for the most part all season. The 1 guy in the background creating the most drama in Anthony Watmough has also been crap at his job & fighting to avoid the spoon in Flegg after getting spanked by last place Silktails on the weekend - whoever that is.

DCE has been so bad that most people think he should retire. Jake can’t even make 50 run metres in 80 minutes & Tom looks more worried about preserving his body than saving tries. All 3 have went from origin starters when healthy to completely dropped in 12 months. They should have been more worried about their awful performances on the field instead of trying to decide what’s best off it.

Not sure DCE asked for a release in Dec ‘24,but he informed the club he wouldn’t be extending his career at Manly beyond 2025 after they gave Seibold an extension

Except Read on Monday said DCE was signing for allegedly 500k and moving to the Roosters had nothing to do with $$. The others laughed.

1) not one single poster on here knows exactly what went on.

2) all posters on here ( me included ) read the media reports and then we gain an opinion on the issue based on a few things

a) how this has personally made us feel
b) what part of the various rumours then justify the how we feel situation & excluding completely any that don’t fit our personal narrative

3) we then proceed to not believe anything said by other journalists or other members on ST with a different opinion.

The rumour posted on page one of this thread states:

"...3 senior Eagles players who who met with CEO last yr & told him coach didn't have the support of the players group & he wasn't the one to take them forward.

Weeks later, coach was given a new extension.

Weeks later DCE said see ya."

We know the following FACTS:

-we finished 7th last year, a marked improvement on 12th the previous season;
-Seibold was extended on 16/12/2024.

The rumour this thread is based on (& which you have wholeheartedly jumped onboard of) claims that the senior players weren't happy with Seibold "last year" i.e. 2024.

"Weeks later" Seibold was extended (16/12/2024). Okay, that suggests the players spoke to Mestrov late last year, possibly after the season was over.

"Weeks later DCE said see ya." - DCE announced he was leaving Manly in late March 2024, which is more like "months later" than Seibold's extension in December 2024, 3-nearly 4 months, in fact. Why did he wait months & until after round 3 instead of announcing it before the start of season 2025? What happened not long before that to possibly trigger DCE's annuncement?
