Maybe we should resign him? We got rid of Wardell because he was crap. Then we resigned Wardell and he is still crap. So, no reason not to resign Schuster.

Waddell has at times given dumb penalties but I must admit I don't quite get the disdain for him here. He's a solid squad forward and if we had a couple more like him right now it wouldn't hurt.

I think as a middle he goes ok. However, on an edge he doesn’t cut the mustard defensively.

I agree. As a middle he is no star but he works hard. When we are forced to play him on an edge he suffers from lack of quick lateral movement and generally (imo) just not quite knowing where to stand, to support the centre forwards and outside backs and allow for the fact he will need a little extra time to move laterally. Plus which, as a second rower you need a bit of a wider vision for developing threats. Not a knock on him, it's just not his proper experience and skillset.
