I never got to see Cash but my old man did. He said he would have loved to see the Folsom Prison concert...he picked the wrong prisons.... love Feldthouse, not sure if you've heard this...

Don’t mind that. Obviously an acquired taste so probably need to give it more of proper listen. Never heard of Kaleidoscope but from some googling I see they were the favourite band of Jimmy Page. Can’t get a much bigger endorsement than that.

Pretty amazing your old man seeing JC in concert. Have listened to the Folsom Prison concert many a time. Pretty ballsy to perform in a prison in those days.

Yeah, The old man spent some time over there. During WW2 he was on a destroyer looking after the ships coming over from America. He did five convoys. I've worked on trawlers but I've never had to worry about U boats. Civilian life didn't suit him and he did time in a couple of countries....Jimmy Page claimed he wrote this.....

Your old man sounds like one cool dude. If I was a WW2 sailor in the Atlantic/Pacific, I’d want to be on something a bit bigger than a destroyer. Still, better than being in a U boat. The closest I’ve got to a trawler is watching deadliest catch.
