My old man was on a destroyer taking the convoys across the Atlantic. At first it was just supplies coming over but after Pearl Harbour the Americans sent troops over. The old man could'nt figure out why they all had so many medals when they had'nt done any fighting.Massive respect to my birth Dad! 2 tours of Vietnam. I can only imagine the courage. Even though he received medals from the American army for courage, he claims the average American soldier was the most cowardly soldier you'd ever meet. He could not praise their chopper pilots highly enough though!!

Seems to be a fair bit of 70's/ 80-'s floating around here and **** I have enjoyed playing a few. Not least the one above me......
But I want to add an 2015 remix to the pile, that I think is a brilliant cover of my all time favourite song, an 80's classic that can't be matched (well im sure we all have our favorites).
Enjoy if you watch it.
Everybody wants to rule the world.
The old man used to tell one about when they had to take survivors off a supply ship that had been torpedoed in huge seas and was sinking. They could hear a dog barking on the ship. The captain asked for volunteers and this big Irish bloke said he'd take a line across. They got a few survivors ( English) back and the dog. When he got back onboard the captain congratulated him. He replied " I would'nt like to see a f**kin dog die ,sir.Haha! Yeah, my old man tells stories about the yanks dropping their M16's and bolting if the were surprised in a fire fight. He reckons it was because the VC were getting their hands on so many M16's that they invented the alloy magazine. When they finished a clip, they'd drop it on the ground and crush it under boot so the VC couldn't use it again.
