From my 80s Ska phase. Loved the big brass instruments, the band had a mad party/tempo feel ( and I had a mad crush on the chick). So I became a bit of a groupie.
One of my dear departed Grannys favourites. The only way she’d bring out her lolly dish is if you sang one of her favourites...this was one, and one of the others (which I loved also) was Patsy Cline (crazy). The old man would get the shiits with granny, (he’ll end up being a poof! This was the 70s remember!). It probably didn’t help that on the way home my sister and I would sing Tammy Wynettes classic "Stand by your man"!.....even as a 9 year old I was already a shiit-stirrer.RIP Vera
