The Manly Way

"James Maloney is backing his former club, the Penrith Panthers, for a five-peat and believes the key ingredient to their success is pretty simple — fitness."

Sounds so simple yet so true.

But the 'psychological' aspect of fitness must play a huge part. I suspect if you took simple measurements of time trials, weights lifted, endurance etc then at least all the leading clubs, if not all NRL clubs, would be within a ball park for fitness. I think Seibold is doing his best to address the psychological aspect through all the focus on connection within the squad and tweaking mindset.

Barring injury catastrophe I'm expecting* Manly to surge into the top 4 this year!

Anyone notice how far off the space Jurbo was in the shuttle sprints? I worry for his athleticism in today’s game

The reason Jake must go to prop and play shorter stints. He is great in the opening exchanges to lock down our defence but can’t be the 80min player he once was.
Absolutely love Jakey but his roll has to change. I say his next contract offer will reflect this at a heavily discounted rate.

I'm less concerned about position with our current squad but I do think he should drop to 55-60 minutes.

Confirmation of no Turbo, Jake, DCE, Brooks and Olakau'atu for trials
