The Manly Way

I think it was a good move to get all the young guys that signed on for 2025 to do an interview for the series. Everyone loves to hear the future of the club & the reasons why they came here

True but all the answers would be "staged". Who's going say "I only came cause you paid me the most" or "it was here or the scrapheap"
Especially after Terrell May's honest answers

Thought that there were some suggestions that the Flegg or 20 's could be included with the i st grade and reserve grade sides in a game day schedule .
Guess that with the addition of development players and train and sign on personal , could be pushing close to the 40 player mark for combined i st and reserve grade sides .
Most likely going to need around that number for two grades .
Wonder how many previously Blacktown aligned or registered players will make the switch to exclusively Manly registered for season 25

I would love to hear from them during the season as well...

1 real good thing they kept biting down hard is the best trait in footy you can have....the Effort play !!
As Seibs pointed out, it don't take talent to make effort plays.......and these are probably the biggest difference from the Penrith team over the past few years to any other with Melbourne also big in this department.....and it is a "Must' for any player or team, who are serious about winning comps in any grade.

There's a lot to like here. You can really see in this why the club is comfortable not chasing big dollar players. The goal is improvement and development of the squad that we have.

People were spitting chips about us losing the Fainus but seeing the attitude of guys like Walsh, Large and Muagututia makes me so glad that they are gone. The gangster wannabe knob crap didn't do anything helpful for our squad.

Loved it!

The new young blokes are looking the goods and I'm thrilled at the resilience approach.

Huge props to Alfred Naupoto for all of his multi media stuff. The club's social content has gone ahead massively since he joined us. He's an absolute gem.

Taking Inspirational Netflix vedios to another level ...

We expect our young and Pro NRL footy players to Push them selves to the limits

This vedio is above and Beyond those limits
This video is about a 80 year old guy who not only defied his dinosaur age to bench 300 pounds
He also defied cancer to accomplish this Resilient Record breaking feat

This vedio puts Winning Resilience in Comprehensive Perspective

They are great fluff pieces made so that fans / members feel more a part of what happens behind the scenes.

I do like them , but this would be happening at every club.

The two important things I believe ( that we need to improve on ) are

Defence , we’ve been poor at times , and that’s cost us games , we need to be much better.

The 1% efforts , think the Drizzle & Choccy Solidiers , every single 1 of their non superstars do the extra efforts , it’s why they are so successful.

As I said in another thread , we don’t need to sign a bunch of superstars ( impossible anyway ) but we do need to sign / bring through , players who are 110% committed to improving the two issues above.

Do that , and we are in this up to our ears !!

All our Great Manly Premiership Winning players and teams made those 1% Efforts
That was the Benchmark of our success
This is what Inspired THE MANLY WAY
The Manly Way is the Winning way
There is no other way to live up to our legendary Clubs Greatness

I enjoy them also and commend the Manly Marketing and Media team for their professionalism.
What I particularly liked was the focus from Boldy on commitment; it was not about talent but 'The Manly Way' is about not leaving anything in the tank. That's a good message. All you can ask of any player is 100% commitment.
Another thing I was encouraged to see was the size of Jake Arthur. He now has the build of a rangy second rower or lock and he could be given a chance in these positions.

After an injury plagued season, it looks like Jakob Arthur could be in for a big 2025. He looks very confident as a young leader in that video.

Plus I don’t think it’s any coincidence that Seibold used a sample of Jake’s on-field effort, to highlight the attitude he expects from his players.
Based on the positioning I think Paulo might have been the player they used as an example of not putting enough effort in
