This is what I was thinking. Can't have much of a better mentor than DCE, but Foran is certainly up there. He's had a difficult journey too, so would be great for life advice too.

You wouldn't think it is likely. Is there a benefit having foz play 2-3 games and strategically playing Walsh every 3 or so games.

Prob is Foz could have some time on the side line throughout the year, and if Walsh isn't ready for that much 1st grade, then he's not ready. Broncos half-back Reynolds could pose the same problems .

I'd prefer a 7 that Manly will get 20+ games, with Walsh getting a small taste when needed.

Manly will have a plan, they have known and being working toward life after dce post 2025.

Foran (who is out with yet another injury - bicep) is on tv, gets asked about it and obv says no-it's speculation.

So journos can now fill a few more inches claiming "another twist to the dce saga" which was solely manufactured by journos (or by AI bots which are maybe just above nrl journos in quality).

Going backwards bringing Foran back. That is the sort of decision Manly shouldn't be making. Too much reminiscing of Foran 2010-14. His return in 2021 was a mixed blessing at best. He's been little more than adequate elsewhere. What Manly needs is inspiration not just competent fill in play making. We would return to middle tier at best. Manly's move to bring on Walsh and Large and one or two others is the way to go. The Turbo move to 5/8 is not perfect but may lengthen his playing life and give young Hopoate the experience at custodian he needs. Brooks can fill in for half for the next year or two.

Foran is quite articulate and IMO has a good media career ahead of him. His body isn't up to another season.

Considering his experience I would love to see him in some sort of role post playing (like Joe Williams) just for the player benefit
