Seriously for the last 3 and a half years it's just been doom and gloom on the horizon and for no obvious reason it has now actually arrived.

Can't see any positives at all from here. 2015 is still-born and we can now pay overs for average players to make up the numbers while the remaining players from our golden era play out the last few years of their careers and wouldn't be surprised if some of our young up and comers are persuaded that the grass is greener elsewhere.

Cyclic success is acceptable but this is devastating. It's as if Manly just felt all the negativity over the last few years and collectively gave in to the sustained pressure.

Big Willie just said on sterlo that foran hadn't told the players yet and believes it was leaked and foran would not be happy with that , So maybe just maybe it was leaked from the sqeels and he is not happy about that and renegs on the deal now

What I don't understand is how the board could consciously make 2v the Fall guy for the boards own blunders! If they actually communicated and acted as a unit with the same common goal as 2v we would be laughing right now. If they didn't want to sign then that could have been Christmas 2015.

Joe Kelly and the Penn's HAVE done some good. The initiatives to get into all schools on the north, more interviews, resigned Matai, working on Ballin, sponsors staying on, good membership hires. If these two don't want to be here and will get stupid money elsewhere, then Manly drawing a line and not overpaying for sentiments sake sucks now but really, what can Parra do with Foz on 1.3M other than gloat twice a year when they play us? How will they build a champion calibre team around that kind of salary distribution? Throw in Hoppa and Choc and probably a decent chunk on a 7 and any dream they have of Izzy are gone. And they also better hope Danny Wicks is ****ing awesome because they won't have much to spend shopping next year.
