I'd be surprised if Gutho does play fullback for any extended period for the rest of his career. With his knee injuries he might well end up as a permanent 5/8 and I don't think he's going to spend much time as an outside back.

I think it’s much more likely that he didn’t want to praise his friend too much, lest he be accused of disloyalty (if his comments made their way into a forum like this) to the direction the admin and coaching staff have taken.

Smart move on his part and I shouldn’t have brought it up with him to begin with.

It’s beyond a joke now and looks like the Sharks are in on the party now as well.

If three or four clubs have all the top players it won’t take long for the game to disintegrate.

They may as well toss a coin to see which one of the four becomes minor premier and then another coin toss for which one wins the premiership.

Whilst this is all media speculation,just like the talk Eels&Sharks were after Cronk,why wouldn’t you go after him?Id be disappointed in Manly if they weren’t chasing him.You’d offload 2-3 players to sign Crichton.Complaining about Roosters salary cap based on a speculative signing keeps blokes like Rothfield in a job

Here’s an idea,instead of whinging about how teams fit players under the cap,ask your club,Manly in this instance,what they are doing at the board level to be able to buy or develop superstars to improve the team.Maybe other clubs are smarter with their wage bills and don’t pay overs for underperforming players.Or in Manly’s case,have money tied up in “first graders”like Winterstein,Lewis Brown or Shaun Lane

Next we'll hear Smith and Slater want out of the Storm because they can't bear the thought of playing against Cooper, and Teddy and Friend will join Pearce in the bench as supersubs.

Then from out of nowhere JT gets homesick for Sydney after leaving the Bulldogs all those years ago, and decides he wants to play with his great mates the big 3 for free for a couple of years.

That leaves Keary to go to the bench to join the other supersubs.

Jokes on them though. No big men on the bench is a recipe for disaster.
