The Finals thread: (week 1)

Well, I'd suggest you go straight to the source of the facts if they don't sit well with you.
Mate, what you pointed out in your initial post was technically correlation which is different to insinuating causation. Yes this is the technical reason why isolated facts can be wrong. Why go to the trouble of saying that when Fogarty plays in finals his team loses most of the time unless you are insinuating he is somehow the cause.

Fun Fact:

Jamal Fogarty is now 1–5 in NRL Finals games.

His only Finals win was a 28–20 win for Canberra over Melbourne (in Melbourne) in the 2022 Qualifying Finals

He was 0–1 for the Titans (2021) and 1–4 for the Raiders (2022, 2023 and 2025).
Won't be a problem at Manly. We don't play finals footy🙂

Canberra were never going to win after losing to the Broncos 17 times in one game last week - especially once Strange went down. Soft draw, overachieved, probably happy enough to have won the minor premiership. And the Sharks have quietly been one of the form teams of the comp for the last couple of months. No surprise with the result for me.

Big call for Ricky to rest all those players like he did to go out 3 in a row, momentum deffinetly wins games this year and they looked like they had not much tonight

I expect Forgarty will be at Campbelltown or Leumeaj by now on the late bus heading up to gods country.
I’d like to say welcome to the winners circle, but not yet. Just get up here pal and let’s see.

NYEagle
Mate, he could have the car packed and incognito for a quick getaway.

Well St George did as well in 09. Not both at home though.

That's the difference.

Until now it has never happened at a teams actual home ground (as opposed to a centralised venue such as all Finals games played at the SCG or SFS where teams get designated home or away depending on their final ladder position).

There's not much difference between teams still in it and those that are out. 3 thing's the Sharks have that we didn't.
1. An easy draw .
2. One injured player to our 9.
3. A fu*kwit captain that pulled the pin and bottled it after Rd 3.

You forgot to add the elite hooker and middle forward rotation. They’re streaks ahead of us.

Ok so if Nicho announced out of the blue in civies on 100% footy that he's out of the place in 2026 , as well as them losing equivalent
AFB, - Paseka
Rudolf, - Aloiai
Wilton - Jurbo
Nikora - Olakau'atu
Iro - Garrick
Ramien - Koula
Hazelton - Brown
Kennedy - Turbo
10 games Vs top 8 - Manly 12 games, -
that they'd still be in a PF.
