I'm in the play him in reserve grade and give Jake Arthur the rest of the year at 5/8 camp. Dce needs a reality check and a year in reserve grade playing hooker would be appropriate.

Why can't one journalist, just one, ask dce the questions that need to be asked.

Did you ask for a release pre2024 and if so, why and where were you going.

Why did you think it was a good idea to do a TV interview rather than do a press release and alongside the club representatives announce your departure and replicate what you said that there is no problems with you and the club. Can't you see what you did raises obvious questions.

If you don't know where you will play yet, and you want to give manly the opportunity to plan moving forward, doesn't this apply to the potential new club you may play for. All clubs need a decision from you within a timeframe so they can move on and recruit elsewhere if they need to. Why is manly ruled out but not other clubs.

I'd love to see him dance around some of those questions...he'd do his best Fred Astaire, no doubt.

Honestly why are we still doing this? Things will go so much smoother if we just accept that he's leaving (which will ultimately be a good and necessary thing for the squad), enjoy the fact that the news hasn't derailed the squad, and move on?

Said manly never offered a deal until after last Monday night. Said Daly was waiting for an offer and never got one. He was never offered a deal in December or anything of the like.

Also said Daly’s team were never asking for a 1.1m per year or even a two year contract. That was all concocted by manly head office wiedler says. Basically a smear campaign to paint Daly as a greedy and disloyal team mate (does have form).

Schuster hasn’t played a game of 1st grade in over a year seems like a good decision to flick him. Sam Fainu has been ok at times but very underwhelming so far this year while Latu has been in & out of reserve grade battling hamstring injuries. Oh & they are also earning over $500k a year which is ridiculous… most would say that’s another good decision. Maybe it’s not a conspiracy & he just got rid of them because they weren’t playing well enough for the money they were getting/wanted 😮

If it is a choice between Weidler and our CEO, i am not sure as I dislike one and have gone very cold on the other.

Who started spruiking that narrative was it channel 9 or Fox? That could be part of what weidler was saying he’s asked for proof from manly an emails. He is saying manly is lying.

Maybe that was part of the so called “smear campaign” maybe he never asked for an early release? Maybe he did?

All I know is that I hope this doesn’t derail our season. I hope it galvanises the boys, I worry what might happen for the next few. We’ve got five years to win one this decade, our best chance is right now to keep our record intact.

I’m in the same boat. I can’t stand wiedler and I thought mestrov was doing a great job up until this.

I hope it doesn’t come out he was behind this “smear campaign” not a great look. And jsut proves no matter how good we could be doing our front office is a shambles once again.

The club are way better than releasing confidential emails to journalists and the journalists know that. No club would do that you would lose the playing groups trust and that would be disastrous.

Yeah nah.
He represents the club well on the field and did so on Sunday. He must play and be supported.
He has said he likes the club in his post match and the club have said mestrov and seibold are good with him.
He has given the club 12 months notice, people welcomed foz back and he purposely set out to fuk the club by hiding his deal with the eels, then leaving us high and dry.
Des was welcomed back after he left the club in our moment of triumph, heck he had even sued the club.
Its clearly NOT about money or it would be the club saying we can't pay his asking price of $x million and need to go with youth. There was no price.
So it's about someone else at the club that is caused DCE to want to leave.

We all say the media are all bullcrap but then buy it all up without thinking.
