Spud said what so many of us wanted to say. DCE made it all about himself and our season was terminal after round 3.

Never again should any player be allowed to do this, we were snookered by his call.

It's over now and the club can move forward, i believe next season will be so much better!!

What I don’t get is how DCE can be so oblivious to why so many people have taken exception to his actions. Surely he would have known what he did and how he did it would get a lot of people offside. He can’t be that tone deaf surely?

i think he lived in a dce bubble of backslappers and false plattitudes, was a tad arrogant.

everything screams its about him.

i saw him ranked 2nd in the ABC RL player of the year behind teddy this year.

he gets all the votes, rasnks high when he plays ****, never faces criticism it seems

You just have to look at how defensive some of the fans were when he made that and other decisions. Looking to blame manly over Dce

I believe he knew exactly what he was doing, the team had a massive win over Canberra, we lost Paseka that round to a season ending injury.

DCE goes on Channel 9 to make his announcement and not wear a club shirt told me that he wanted to be disrespectful to our club and to say well I will not be playing here next year without revealing any future plans, kept it in the news cycle as each week it was a topic and every loss after that was under scrutiny especially during the losses mid season and later in the season.

I respect the right for DCE to choose what he does and I dont give a rats where that is!!

Yeah i really hope seibold coaching for hus contract was the only reason DCE didn't end in reggies.

I understand this incentive shat the penns persist with in terms of coaching contracts, but for years now its looked to have slowed growth for individuals own reasons

The club was on show and they were weak. We looked like the public service waiting for chez to get his gold watch , for jake to get his carpark and to spend thursdays having bake off morning teas, for every occasion we could dream up.

i have been quite conservative on my estimate of mestrov and seibs but this was a mighty clanger in management of a TEAM focussed environment . Ifthe decision was only footy based

Mark my words if mestrov and seibs do turn us into a chance it will have been a decent effort considering everything penn touches thats footy related turns to pelican poop

At least the ABC is independent from Silvertails. Shows that we are pretty hard markers in my opinion.
DCE probably has to be player of the match every game to keep those on here happy.

Agree with all that, but my point is surely DCE would realise many people would share those opinions, so it seems odd he takes umbrage with someone who expresses such a very understandable reaction eg spud.

Semantics. It was a 2 year extension to an existing 8 year contract. He was extended before the original contract expired so for all intents and purposes it was a continuous 10 year contract
