If Foran had told Manly that he has already signed with Parramatta, the Club would have signed DCE for $850-900K for say 3 years. Titans would never be mentioned.
DCE appears to have an issue with Penn/Seibold and indicated he is leaving the Club. It appears to be not over money.
From my guess DCE thinks he has one more year in himself and then wants to move into coaching. He could not see that being at Manly.
From what I see snippets of DCE is tight with the players. Joey Walsh will be forever grateful for time DCE and Brooks put into his development.

Maybe, though I'd say any player that went on TV to announce he wants to play for any other club and won't accept any offers from manly, (he rejected an offer just days later) would be getting kicked up the arse in here. Make that person your captain, and people will put the steel boots on.

It is reported by Weidler that DCE felt disrespected. There is no further information on that to determine if it was about money or the way certain people high up/or perhaps not high up were treating him.

All that has been reported is manly put a figure to him, reported to be 750k, and DCE had told the club he had not made his mind up whether he would stay/play on in 2026. Manly apparently didn't put a formal offer in, instead waiting on DCE to advise if he was going to play on.

The narrative around dce not rating seibold somewhat takes a hit in my mind when you think back to DCE talking in a presser after a loss about how he went away from the coach's instructions, and played a different game plan.

Is that something he would say if he went away from the game plan, whether in the heat of the battle or deliberately. It sounds like an admittance he made an error and should have played the game plan - made by a coach he apparently doesn't think can coach.

I may be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
