So in the latest post match commentary he said we didn’t get the rub of the green.

Was he expecting magic to happen when his hospital passes and stupid second tackle kicks landed on the dodgy Allianz turf?

So our mind strong 💪 tactics are to wait for calls to go our way and build on that.

No wonder we are cooked as a team with attitudes like this.

Yeah that comment perked up my interest.

It wasn't rub of the green it was just woeful football. There was no bad luck in it.

As you say too many excuses in the playing group and the coach.

For all of us who despise the Chaser there’s just as many who thinks he’s been hard done by.

To drop him NOW just before his 350th would be as weak as piss from the clubs perspective and other players would look at that and say “ yeah that’s club I’m never going to regardless of how much they offer “.

They’ll play him , as they should , he’ll get mild applause , as he should , but there will be no special presentations , speeches , and that’s exactly as it should be.
Agreed. We can all fantasise about dropping him for this week, but the fact is, the damage has been done, and the only outcome would be for Manly to be seen as an even more petty and unprofessional organisation to any potential recruits and their families in the future. I think this is why he retained captaincy. I'm sure Seibold, Mestrov and Penn are privately filthy with him, and likely can't wait for his last game at the club. Most likely why Seibold will be given another chance next year.

Exactly , and yes despite the “ Spoony “ “ Seidud “ etc etc comments on here you are right ,he’ll possibly get another year.

The knives are out ( big time )

The only DCE should do now to save a little dignity is to retire , pretty sure Easts don’t want after the last couple of weeks and maybe just maybe people can go and see him in his 350 game and give him some sort of celebration, but he has to suck it in and retire.

I feel he has intentionally played his worst games as payback. Going live on air is a FU to manly and the fans. He has been doing it on the field also over the most important time of the year.

Speculation....I would not be surprised if he has some serious coin on betting over the last 4 games , ensuring we don't get into the finals.

Just look at his turnstile defence of late.

OOOh. Now you are really ratching-up the issue.

We see this over and over again with older players. They look amazing in their second last year and people like Joey Johns say "he could play 3-4 more years easy", which I am pretty sure he said about Cherry last year. Same happened to Killer. Was massive the year before last and then in his last year, he lost the edge.

It's over Cherry. And you threw it all away because you felt 'disrespected'... Imagine he took the two-year extension which the club offered him...

Muppet should have said no to the two years but taken 850-900 for 12 months more. By the look of it, he will get nothing more and, in the process, has alienated the club that gave him EVERYTHING

In a way, it’s hilarious. He has soiled his reputation (cough…like he hasn’t previously) with a 2025 ‘swing and (this time looks like) a miss’ version of his 2012 and 2015 contractual antics.

The media would not be speculating about this, if they have some indicators that the Roosters arr getting cold feet. Even on the assistant coaching role. What is the point of bringing in an untried outsider in as an assistant coach?

All things considered and with the roosters narrative thrown in for good measure, our dear captain was always more Chad Townsend than Cooper Cronk. With verbosity and self importance the only thing leaning to the latter

Kind of apt really.

Would not surprise me if the Rorters have pulled their offer, although doesn’t mean he won’t be signed as a specialist coach.

And Chan 9 beckons as let’s face it he’s a bit more eloquent than JT.
