There is a poster I believe his name is Jimmie(?), he seems to have good "intel" in and around the Roosters.

I'd be interested to read if he's heard anything on his side of the fence about a meeting mid-morning re DCE and the Roosters.

Apparently the remuneration package offered is now the subject of great conjecture and if what I'm told is true, I applaud the Roosters for "realigning their expectations" of value.

Not disputing that he has probably spoken with Politis and that Politis has indicated that they are interested with a firm offer. But I would suggest Politis has not made the offer unconditionally. Like they did with Cronk, they are waiting to see him through his last year at the former club. Both Cronk and DCE were or are near the end of their career and far more liable to serious long term injury. Last thing they would want to do is outlay big money on a broken body. Already DCE is showing the wear and tear. Get through the season unscathed and he'll sign late in the season or Sept/Oct as was done with Cronk. Promise is there if he gets through and interestingly Cronk also declared early in his last season at Melbourne that that would be his last season there, though his excuse was family commitments and a TV contract. History repeats itself. SC did the same with Fulton

I don’t know , but not dumb to see , Chanel 9 a big part of the deal , and you can bet a nice top up from a “ coaching role “ post retirement.

I felt he was telling **** by the way in weidler 3xclusive he couldn't just explain the version of events like you would if they were true, like just roll off the tongue.

DCE knew exactly where he was going when he appeared on channel 9…shook hands with the roosters late last year but no contract signed then ,as the roosters needed to clear the decks first. Stating I don’t know where I’ll be 2026 but it won’t be at manly was disrespectful to the manly fans who have supported him through out his career when he knew exactly where he was going.He should have been straight with the fans and if you couldn’t talk about the roosters contract say nothing till you could.i have no issue with him going to the roosters it’s a business and you need to look after your family and no doubt the deal will be better their than the sea eagles could ever offer

i posted the above back in May but like every disagreement there are two sides to every storey . There is alot more to this saga and it will come out once DCE has left the club.
The thing that doesnt sit right is mestrov coming out on NRL 360 to confirm an offer to DCE .For the club to react like that there is more to it .That was amateur hour. Its like they were trying to justify themselves publicly. Why??. There are also plenty of rumours going around that Siebold put alot of BLAME on DCE for the loss to the roosters in the finals last year and manly management held back from making DCE an offer initially.
