The Daly Cherrygraph

Zero chance.
But the next in line version would do just fine, I'm sure Chooks have a decent queue of top young forward talent ready to pop up into first grade, there must be one who'd like to come to Manly for a quicker path to NRL.
We should play hardball. We are in the box seat here. We request for exactly what we want, and don’t accept anything less. If they don’t want to comply, we don’t let him go. He can then go play reggies for the rest of the season if he doesn’t want to put in and turn his form around in the next couple of weeks.

It’s about time Manly stood up and regained some hard edge moving forward. We could define the character for the next chapter in our club with this very stance… or, we could just continue bending over and fuelling the victim mentality. I wonder what Penn is capable and willing to do. 🤷‍♂️

I would rather let this guy go, or moving him to reggies and our season struggle than the way the current team is going with him not putting in - as long as we dont get the spoon.
Go to the market for the forwards we need and really give next year a shake, as this season seems gone already...

This saga is becoming worse the longer it drags on, as intriguing as it is does anyone on here think there is any truth to this happening,if so i dont know how DCE could walk around the northern beaches anymoreit would be diabolical

Play hard ball with it and you never know. Easts winning over the next few weeks may strengthen our negotiating position as it will open the premiership window a little wider heading into June 30. They know they ain’t getting a premiership with the current halves and Sam off an ACL. Never know they may part with one of the Ws if desperate.

I just want to clarify that this is the same Brad Arthur that "set an unwanted coaching record, becoming the first head coach in 112 seasons of the game to coach a side for seven consecutive years and fail to make at least one preliminary final:

And In 2018, Arthur led Parramatta to the club's 14th wooden spoon claiming only 6 wins all season. Arthur claimed responsibility for the season

this guy you want coaching Manly?

Wanting Arthurs to coach is Just maintaining the level of dumb ****e posted in this thread over the past 3 weeks ...

Fletch: DCE 'not worth the money' Roosters are offering

Daly Cherry-Evans is not worth the money being offered to him on his current form, according to Bryan Fletcher.
Almost two months on from the sorry saga that was Cherry-Evans and Manly discussing the captain’s future on separate simulcast live TV shows, there appears to be no confirmation on where he will play in 2026.

While the NRL rumour mill – and those in the know – insist 'DCE' will be joining the Roosters on a two-year deal worth $1 million a year, nothing is set yet in stone or signed.
Dragging it out does not appear to be having any kind of positive impact on Cherry-Evans or Manly with their most recent defeat at the hands of the Sharks casting doubt over whether he will be selected for Origin.
“The DCE thing,” Fletch said on SEN's The Run Home. “Daly Cherry-Evans is going to the Roosters. Just rip the bandaid off and say ‘I’m going to the Roosters, I’m not going to be here next year’.
“He is going, but I tell you what his form in the last month has not warranted a two-year (deal) at a million dollars (per year).”
With DCE’s form dropping off, Roosters coach Trent Robinson was asked about whether the club’s interest in him was waning.
“I said six weeks ago that we were interested,” Robinson said. “We haven’t had any discussions since then with management, and that’s still the case.
“The freeing up (of salary cap space) is about building the best squad we can possibly build. We’re in negotiations with three of our guys that are already under contracts – some of the younger guys – so it’s always a mix of both.

“We’ve recruited Reece from outside for next year, and there is an interest there (for Cherry-Evans).
“I think we’ve been really clear on what we’ve been trying to do this year.”
Cherry-Evans and the Sea Eagles are next in action against the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday.
