The Daly Cherrygraph

I just want to clarify that this is the same Brad Arthur that "set an unwanted coaching record, becoming the first head coach in 112 seasons of the game to coach a side for seven consecutive years and fail to make at least one preliminary final:

And In 2018, Arthur led Parramatta to the club's 14th wooden spoon claiming only 6 wins all season. Arthur claimed responsibility for the season

this guy you want coaching Manly?
But he's better than Seibs!

(allegedly) @:D

I'd go Holbrook if Seibold was to not getbus to at least 2nd week of the finald
If Seibold is sacked, which I can only see occuring if Seibold actively tanks the season "for draft picks" and gets placed in a mental asylum, Holbrook is the only one I would take.

For the people who are saying BA, he put together a roster that was outdated and made a GF purely off luck. The unceremonious decline after the GF was due to the poor roster decisions he made. Many of the people championing him point to Ciraldo's record and small-ball... Despite BA being completely different and championing outdated big-ball.

Holbrook, in contrast, somehow managed to make the finals a couple of times at the Titans against the odds. He was responsible for one of the greatest attacking seasons of all time, for the Roosters last year. I'd like to see how he'd go in a non-cancerous club unlike the Titans.

Cleary and Bennett have been sacked...

Any coach not currently coaching in the NRL has been sacked or a rookie and IMO the Titans made the wrong call sacking Holbrook for Des (was my opinion at the time too)
In a weird twist of irony Bennett was actually sacked/not extended for Siebold wasn’t he?

Wow DCE killing it via 5 best metrics
Who knew ?

Just an interesting read, no great conclusions to be taken.

Though I do think with players...any players. Their teams fans let emotions cloud judgement both positively and negatively.

I think DCE hasn't been in the best form this year, particularly the last 5 weeks, but many here speaking in the extreme as if he is an absolute dead weight on the field...and I think there is a bit too much emotion in that.

I suspect DCE will be gone before the end of June. Paper talk I know but I've just got a feeling Manly will let him go even though SC said they have not yet come to terms, if DCEs performance on the field doesn't improve..Seibold is going to have to weigh up whether to risk a less talented but more enthused player at half or risk DCE ( if he wants to leave) playing well under his ability. Seibold's career is at stake here too. Sad end to a great career at Manly, but that's life.

A swap for Whyte or Wong and he can leave tomorrow if he likes.

Rather make a grand final off luck than what we have at the moment. No chance.

Zero chance.
But the next in line version would do just fine, I'm sure Chooks have a decent queue of top young forward talent ready to pop up into first grade, there must be one who'd like to come to Manly for a quicker path to NRL.
