The Daly Cherrygraph

I was once at a work do and the guest speaker was one of those super hype sales / people whisperer / motivator champions.
Speaking to him after his presentation he said what he learnt from his time in defence force was that:
PEOPLE LEAVE BECAUSE OF PEOPLE, NOT MONEY ( or the work)
It stuck with me and has been proven true time and time over, and I think it's true here.
DCE was happy, doing his best, playing well. So what changed?
It makes a lot of sense that Choc whatmough's return ( long history) has created a problem and Cherry does not want to deal with it so told the club he's leaving.
Club is in a difficult position as if they publicly take sides it would be worse. Club probably thinks DCE only has a year left in him so happy to let him go quietly and the public never know tits not all happy family on the nest.

DCE would have saved and spent his $10,000,000++ very well and the money would not be a big issue.

Really what did he think was going to happen after his press conference last week. He can't be surprised. I am pleased our supports showed a lot of class on Sunday and that our team and Cherry Evans put un a workmanlike performance. He sent a messuage last week the question is to whom?

Mestrov admitted and was quoted as saying things could have been done better but we have moved on

Mestrov is right in saying that he could have done things better to avoid this club circus saga
Mestrov is wrong in saying that we have moved on
The proof is all in this Silvertails Thread that fans keep posting and Mestrov reads

He means the club is no longer holding out hope Daly will stay and the players are accepting the situation.
Doesn't mean we as fans aren't still interested in working out why Daly decided to leave.
If that is what you think he means just goes to show how narrow minded and gullible he is

Moved on has more meanings implications than one
A very important one is moving on from the unnecessary club fiasco farce as well as the contract negotiations

So how much of this saga can go back to dessie talking Dce into extending for cheaper
He does have history

Then the dolphinns couldnt sign **** and had money trees

And with Des not being there to see it out it becomes ….
Another secret deal to follow i imagine
You would be happy bro he's finally Leaving 😝😝😝😝 lol couldn't resist mate

DCE admitted in yesterday's post match presser things could have been done better too.

Creepy Crawley has a go

DCE specifically declined to say who he believes is behind misinformation, but that won't stop Creepy Crawly - thinks he knows and so Hey let's put it in print as fact.
(if it's not Mestrov I hope he sues!!)

What exactly is this supposed ‘smear’ campaign anyway? Exactly how is DCE being smeared??? Everything i’ve heard from Mestrov has been complimentary of DCE and wanting him to stay at the club if possible? The only minor contradictions i’ve heard between what DCE and Mestrov has said is that there may have been an offer on the table and that the club was unaware of DCE going on TV to announce his decision not to stay with Manly?? Hardly a SMEAR campaign??? Can someone enlighten me as to what i’m missing here? Otherwise, it’s hard not to conclude that DCE is being extremely precious and making a whole lot more of this saga than there needs to be. And in doing so he’s bringing more attention to himself (which he claims to not want or like) and potentially derailing our season. Why don’t all parties just SHUT UP and get on with playing and winning football games. SIMPLE!!! FMD!! Would have been very easy for DCE to answer one or two of those questions in the presser, then say something like “I’ve answered all the questions I’m going to answer on this subject. So now let’s get on with winning this year. Thank you. Good bye”.

I was just thinking about how DCE's play has changed over the last year or two—he’s become more of a "game manager," though he still has those individual bursts we all know and love.

Early on, the knock on him was that he needed a game-manager-type player alongside him (think Blake Green) to succeed.

Looking at the timeline, his shift toward a more structured, game-manager role seemed to coincide with him look at a release from the club.

There’s no evidence for this, but some have always seen DCE as a somewhat selfish player. Could this have been an example of him adjusting his game to boost his value elsewhere? Or is it just some maturity etc?

Could be wrong but does that timeline also coincide with a new head coach who might have proposed some subtle changes?

I know. But both DCE and Mestrov have said no issue between them.
And if it really was DCE v Mestrov... you'd think DCE would be pushed straight out the door after his 7 minute smear campaign speech post-game.

What people say publicly and think privately are different.

I think Mestrov has more to lose than DCE. Hence he is treading very very lightly and letting him have a lot of freedom in talking publicly.

Gives a little light why DCE and mgt did not announce DCE leaving at a united press conference.

Mestrov is from the racing industry, so ain't squeaky clean in how he negotiates or probably treats people.

According to Buzz, it's Mestrov. That is why DCE is packing his bags.
Could be something in that maybe.

Just speculating here, but it was Mestrov who sacked DCE's mate Dessie after the pride jersey fiasco.

(also, a fair bit has been written about Seibold not being at DCE's wedding. Well why would he be invited when he was the guy who replaced his mate as head coach? Interestingly, I do recall at the time of the wedding it was reported that Des was invited and did attend...)

Possible.
But if so it would be extremely petty of DCE. Everyone knows Mestrov was tasked by Penn to sack Des. Any CEO who refused wouldn't be CEO for much longer
