Daly Cherry-Evans has kept it cryptic with sideline specialist John Gibbs, after taking to the field for Manly today.
"I've been sitting on it for ages … I've mentioned that and the club knows that," Cherry-Evans said.
"People can talk about whatever details they want, but the reality is, the decision is made.
"I tell you what hasn't changed … my mindset going into this year and how much I want to win this year. If anything, it's just amplified it.
"We'll find out if I sign another deal. If it's not for more money, that might be a telling sign in where this all lays," Cherry-Evans said.
"There's obviously been a really big narrative pushed in the media that it was all about a two-year deal, and the money wasn't enough. Only time will tell if that is true or not."
When asked by ABC Sport when he may decide what he wants to do next year, Daly Cherry-Evans says he is a long way from making a decision.
"I know it's not any time soon," he said.
"I know our game will speculate, and I know we want answers now.
"We live in a society that just wants answers right now … it's just not the way it's going to work this year," he continued.
"That's why I've done it this way. The club can move forward, we can make sure this is the best year yet for our club."

According to Scumbag Rothfield, Mestrov will be on NRL360 tomorrow. Just another opportunity for them to write 15 different agenda-based "stories" on any words in the whole interview that could possibly be construed as not how they were not intended.

Except it seemed about 2 mins behind, I didn't mind the abc game commentary. Lighthearted at times and no ego's like Voss thinking the whole world is hanging off their every word.
Gibbs was saying how awful Parra looked, so that helped.
So he says if he goes for less money it wont be because he'll be 37, it's because...well... "it's telling".
Oh to have the confidence of a 37 year old sportsman. lol.
I think I'll veer back towards the footy and leave the soap opera to those who give a damn.
