It's now been reported that DCE ask for a release last year so something does not add up. Why is he unhappy enough to ask for such a thing or was it a club approached him and offered big money or his management started asking around because he was not happy. Is it seibold? Is it manly management and possibly he thought he was not wanted so he spat the dummy? Who knows but what I do wonder is as a playing group will they be happier to see DCE leave and are they as close to him than it's been made out for years. I only see positives from this and if DCE goes to the dolphins then that's alot better than the two other teams we know just buy players for premiership wins. I can't see this fairing well as a legacy for him at Manly anymore. What could of been a halves coach or even coach of our great club at some stage i think he will struggle to even show his face around God's country moving forward! Let's go Manly and good luck DCE as this may come back to bite him karmicly depending on who has been playing who!

It is very common that players managers plan ahead and extend contracts especially with elite players
When player managers get the drift that the current club is not interested in talking extensions they try to shift their Marquee players else where for a club that wants their player for a longer deal
and Eventually thats what will happen to DCE .
That is not being a Grub . That is what is called Looking after your own interest .
