The Daly Cherrygraph

As suggested by The Courier-Mail, Seibold had a tendency to over-complicate his strategies, which left players perplexed. The Brisbane roster struggled to embrace the complex plans, a significant reason for Anthony Milford’s dip in form.

Cracks slowly started to appear in Seibold’s relationship with his players, and the issues were blatantly clear in July. After suffering six consecutive NRL defeats, Brisbane captain Alex Glenn revealed the squad had opted to dictate preparations themselves, because the players “weren’t having fun at training”.

So disjointed was their trust in the coaching staff, the players were taking matters into their own hands.

Seibold was also reluctant to budge on his methodology — according to NRL.com, several Broncos players claimed their coach had repeatedly ignored advice, determined his strategies would eventually come together.

An emphasis on notepads sessions was also made a mockery of, and as revealed by NRL.com, centre James Roberts spent one session repeatedly jotting down his signature instead of taking notes.
I haven't read the pages since you posted this so maybe someone has already noted this.

I heard the back end of an interview with Ethan Bullemor (God I love that boy) on SEN yesterday afternoon (some genius can probably find and link it). No doubt there was conversation about DCE before I got in the car, but what I did hear was him talking about how Seibs has changed as a coach since his Brisbane days. He's much more people focused with both players and fellow coaches. Needless to say, he's a fan.

From the Telegraph:

"The Daly Cherry-Evans saga has reached state parliament, with the Member for Manly calling for the famous Corso to be renamed in honour of the Sea Eagles star."

Now I've heard everything. I thought this has got to be an April Fools joke, but hang on, it's still March. Unbelievable, the world's gone mad!
Well if not the Corso, there's always the sewage treatment plant at North Head @:D

You said in your last post that players at the Broncos liked him .
The Old boys did not take the field for him
The Players that he coached did and he could not get them up and they won their first spoon
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying he’s the greatest coach in history Bozo. Just saying don’t believe the players had a major issue with him and other factors were at play here that destabilized his tenure.

It seems to me DCE wanted to take control of his situation. Talk he had asked for a release previously , or manly shopping him around

Talks that he snd Seibs didnt see eye to eye is probably good for mine. DCE under seibs has moved closer to the action, especially in terms of kicking and his iverall game has improved

DCE continuing to consider origin especially after how lethargic his form was after origin last season for an extended period should have a coach bristling and pushing

DCE has been free to play his natural game for too long

DCE shaming Schuster , What a guy

I agree with all your heart felt expressions of DCE.

i guess its happening again via the MANLY WAY .....all theory if they cant be a consisitent top 4.

Why be nervous? He's going, who cares who to? It's almost certainly going to be the Roosters but I don't care. I still don't think people are taking enough stock of his age.
Because I hate the rorters above all others and, despite this fiasco, I don’t hate Chez….

Will be very hard to see him in those colours…

DCE shaming Schuster , What a guy
The only person that shamed Schuster was Josh with his lack of effort and addiction to fried chicken…

And that situation reflects a lot worse on Mestrov - for re-signing a player in TERRIBLE form to an over-inflated contract that led to us paying him to play elsewhere for the next few seasons - than it does on Chez for saying “we all want to see him achieve the things we know he is capable of…. but he needs to make the effort”…

I cannot get past paywall but this story is from February and has Chez saying he was approached by 2 clubs to play on beyond 2025… offers were made and, with him saying this publicly, the club must have known…

Interestingly, the off-contract veteran fielded expressions of interest upon becoming a free agent last November, evidence Cherry-Evans is the NRL’s version of NFL quarterback legend Tom Brady, who won a Super Bowl at age 43.

“I did have some options,” he said.

“Out of respect to the clubs, I’m not going to name them.

“I didn’t want to shop myself around, so I only spoke to a couple of clubs that I felt I might have an interest to play for.

“I’m very happy at Manly, so I didn’t really put myself out there, but the clubs I spoke to, I got a good indication of where they were at and what their futures looked like.
