Dce had a great game tonight i thought, you could see his effort in defence from the start, and you know when that is happening he is up for a big game.

That tackle on big Nelson by DCE showed there is some commitment in there somewhere.

Pretty sure he closed his eyes and hoped for the best (I'd do the same thing), but yes, it was a great tackle. And he's always had it in him. His one-on-one defence has never been a problem. It's his defensive reads - just being out of sync with the rest of the defence on his side of the field - that can cause issues. Even tonight Waddell had to clean up after Cherry in the late stages of the game when he rushed out of the line.

I wonder if the captain challenge on Grant was Brooks or him as that was the winning play.

Can anyone on the planet explain how such a great legs tackle from a half on a rampaging prop, that cut him down like a scythe, is deserving of a 6 again penalty?

The NRL is damn clueless around this rule. I loathe it.

That tackle should be rewarded, not penalised.

DCE said he didn’t see it, the boys told him. And Brooks was too busy seeing where the ball landed to notice. It looked like Burbo called it.

Was payback for Shaun Johnson last year against the Wahs. Almost the same situation but us on the wrong side of the call.

Manly made their luck tonight and deserved it.
