I picked this up in an article today and it's an absolute joke that the salary cap is with the Roosters. The fine print.

This team is a young team on the way up. They have Sammy Walker and they have got Hugo Savala, who I think is a great foil for Sam Walker.

"Then you've got Sandon Smith, who has been incredible - and down below, you've got a young guy called Toby Rodwell, who is exceptional and he'll be playing in the U19s for NSW and he's close to playing first grade.

They are literally sitting on 4 potential superstar half backs and now bringing DCE in as well. These kids are 100k a year?? What a joke.

The reason why we haven't heard anything from DCE. Chooks haven't offered anything .

Needs to be shown the door early. The club is bigger than any player and letting him leave while trashing the place on the way out, is bad for any rebuild moving into 2026. Seibold can go with him along with majority of the team which is holidaying instead of winning footy games. The owners also need to sell up and concentrate on establishing that US league team because under there ownership the clubs gone backwards just like the Northern Eagles days.

All the rant about losing talent.. seriously Fafita can't make a St George reserve grade run on side.. Alex T ( was the next big thing in the front row along with Sione Fainu) ones now playing super league and the other won't get a contract past this year at the Tigers..he only got a contract this year to keep his brothers happy.
Feledy another dud can't crack into the Tigers side.

People bang on about talent we let go but the real problem is we have NO LEADER.. NO DIRECTION.. your half controls your game plan, controls the game tempo and sets up the plays.. DCE looks lost and slow atm...

Your CAPTAIN drives your team, inspires the effort, demands perfection and shows by example.. DCE looks like he's looking for someone to tell him what to do!

DCE IS COOKED..
Age has caught up with him and the Roosters are going to get themselves a Lemon.. I'm betting he retires half way through next season after he gets dropped. Watch this space...

I agree with most of your post but all 3 Fainu's are playing 1st grade for the Tigers and are better than some on our current roster.

How many halves have we lost because we don't give them a go and they can't see a pathway into 1st grade.

DCE is not a team player and your right, a typical example is when we were up 16-0 against the knights our halfback should of taken control but did nothing and we got rolled.

I hope he leaves before June 30 because we are not going to win a premiership this year.

We lost those halves because of DCE, not management.

If i was a young kid and I had an ageless Origin captain and Australia test player in my position i would have left too.

I don't blame tyne young players and I don't blame our management for those players in that position as a half.

What I'm dirty on is DCE and if he really did ask for a release over a year ago why did he not say to the club.. I'm 80/ 90% sure im going next year why don't you retain Humphrey's.. rather than block his path to NRL and force his hand to leave.

If I had to choose between Savala and DCE I'd choose Savala hands down. A fraction of the price and a much bigger upside. DCE is only going to get worse from here, Savala is only going to get better.

I agree but I'm also happy DCE is leaving. Fraud of a player. Never been worth the money hes on. Never played like hes on that money. Not a team player. But I do share concerns about the coach and owners... been beating this drum for years. Penns need to sell and move on. They don't hire the right people in the right positions to move this club forward.

Clinton Schifcofske (Sam Walker's manager) stated it on ABC radio, so that seems extremely legit

Grandiose, covert/vulnerable, malignant (dark triad or dark tetrad), communal, benign, neglectful, entitled/self-righteous and generational/cultural.
I think he might be a mix of both grandiose and malignant, based on his behaviour this season, and seasons gone by. Thoughts?

I actually think he displays all the characteristics of the dark triad. Seems harsh but these exact qualities are quite often found in people who make their way to the top.

Yes, of course, @Brookie1973, the Aussie subvariant of grandiose definitely applies to him. I think most of his Manly teammates first applied it to DCE back in 2011. 😉

Totally agree, doesn't matter how bad he played he's had a mortgage on the no7.
IMO Overpaid and underperformed and inconsisent.

Yeah, I don't remember seeing much interaction between turbo and DCE on Friday. Seemed like turbo was nearly always running on the left (which is usually his favoured side I think, but perhaps more than usual). I remember one run on the right where he passed to Saab but I think he got the ball off Olakau’atu.
