The Dahlia shows T-Rex the love.

T Rex was at his terrifying best for us reaching great heights in representing at all levels and then he went to the dogs on being money and fell to sleep
The question is can the new coach wake up the sleeping giant and back to his terrifying best ?

Wasn't this known months ago?
He's a dud; too dumb to make a successful footballer.
Lets get our facts right here . He did make it as a successful footballer representing at the highest level in the game . Whether he can reach those heights again is another story

Was only in this morning's paper .... It did say that they met months ago, but made it sound like the deal on minimum wage only just happened.

But what would someone who reads the telecrap really know?

He had all the physical qualities to be a representative player for many years but could never work out that you need to run on to the ball at pace in order to have full impact. He's worked under some of the best coaches in the business and if they couldn't impart that simple information to him then there is no hope for him.
His footballing career can best be summed up by this gastronomic metaphor:
Looked like a rock cake; played like a marshmellow.

Reading the subject I thought somebody's given T-Rex some Dahlias (flowers) :giggle: but now I get it @Woodsie you meant the Dalai  and yes the laugh will be on him for signing T-Rex...

ahhh good old Fifi...

All the skills, all the body size and shape, no heart and a brain the size of a pea.

He could have been amazing if he just put his head and heart into it for 80 minutes week in week out instead of 5 minutes here and there. Running hard from the edges when he moved to the back row was exactly where he should have been had he the desire to go for it.

Everyone goes on about him scoring a lot of tries and so on...they forget the fact he scores those tries playing on the outside of DCE, FOZ, Lyon and Gifty when they were all in red hot form, for the majority of those tries he only need to catch the ball and fall over. Sure I probably wouldnt have scored them, but then again I am not a professional footballer.

Honestly matt wright could score all those tries outside those players in that form

Spoke to a security worker at a manly game once that rex and his 'bros' used to get wasted the nights before games. Many a time he'd seen him at bars and clubs he was working at getting on it hard.

I still recall an article from the Manly Daily when he joined where he said he was going to play better because he wasn't going to have McDonalds a couple of times a day

You don't just lose ability , but you can lose heart , and thats what he lost .

That's the problem with a lot of these big blokes, they don't realise if they just run hard and straight, they will barrel through the defense, and offload to a back running through. T-Rex would balk when he saw the defense coming at him, losing all momentum.

He didn't so much baulk, but he became so preoccupied with bumping off the first defender that he would prop and push him away .... this of course halted all his momentum and he would get swamped by defenders.

Used to laugh at his stats for most tackle busts ..... 50 tackle busts, and not one metre gained.

sounds like Jarryd Hayne -no heart - no brains - lazy footballer - only plays 5 minutes a game - no desire
