Ha ha Woodside
My last comment on the little man, I promise you.
Not much has changed .Passing improved but not top shelf. Tough resilient player. I suppose I look at in terms of how he fits into our side. In a team with dominant organising halves( say Cleary and Maloney) he is a good asset as he can play off the cuff , hit hard and just do his stuff. In a side like ours with a brilliant non organising half and a virtually anonymous five eight you need a creative , scheming 9 with a kicking game to take the pressure off the sole playmaker.Hodgson is a classic example and you see their struggles without him.A hooker without a kicking game and one playmaker makes it tough. Was chatting to Corey Parker a couple of years back in a Southport gym and he commented how good DCE is but as a defensive unit it was very easy to isolate him when he was the only kicker and he got flustered.
In terms of origin consideration if you take out the Queenslanders , kiwis and poms not many to consider really. Peats being the incumbent says it all. They will pick Cook. I would go with The Goons hooker myself.
In a few years I could actually see Api relieving Fainu either side of half time . His game suits sharp bursts with tiring defences. I Like Fainu. So much time when he distributed the ball.
One last comment. If they all tried as hard as Api those last 3 weeks simply don’t happen.
So there you have it Woodside. No more from me on the topic I promise. Refer all inquiries to top end eagle lol. I have same view as our northern friend.
