The Circus - Starring MWSE as The Keystone Cops. Roll up! Roll up!!

I may be in a minority (possibly of one) but I think - given the original leak by 'someone' at the club - we have been set an impossible task trying to settle the ****-storm down. With remarkably little success, mind you, but we were painted into a corner by that original leak and put in a no-win situation.

If anyone in management/ownership is fair dinkum the source of said leak has to be identified, told off, and shown the door.
Too bl@@dy right

My last comment on the little man, I promise you.

Not much has changed .Passing improved but not top shelf. Tough resilient player. I suppose I look at in terms of how he fits into our side. In a team with dominant organising halves( say Cleary and Maloney, Hunt and Widdop) he is a good asset as he can play off the cuff , hit hard and just do his stuff. In a side like ours with a brilliant non organising half and a virtually anonymous five eight you need a creative , scheming 9 with a kicking game to take the pressure off the sole playmaker.Hodgson is a classic example and you see their struggles without him.A hooker without a kicking game and one playmaker makes it tough. Was chatting to Corey Parker a couple of years back in a Southport gym and he commented how good DCE is but as a defensive unit it was very easy to isolate him when he was the only kicker and he got flustered.

In terms of origin consideration if you take out the Queenslanders , kiwis and poms not many to consider really. Peats being the incumbent says it all. They will pick Cook. I would go with The Goons hooker myself.

In a few years I could actually see Api relieving Fainu either side of half time . His game suits sharp bursts with tiring defences. I Like Fainu. So much time when he distributed the ball.

One last comment. If they all tried as hard as Api those last 3 weeks simply don’t happen.

So there you have it Woodside. No more from me on the topic I promise. Refer all inquiries to top end eagle lol. I have same view as our northern friend.

And as usual quality input!!

I’ve said this before but the media are like Jackals picking over a carcass at present.

In reality , apart from 3 pathetic losses, what did we really do these last 3 weeks.

1) the coach has issues with a player and consigned him to the Reggie’s , whilst WE may not agree with it , it’s not a democracy!!

2) and whilst agreeing that in these PC days it’s not a good look a bunch of young blokes letting off some steam at the only place open for a beer after midnight (which happens to be a girlie bar) isn’t that unusual.

Oh sure things could have been handled better BUT at the end of the day this is really all that’s happened.

What’s far more concerning is the situation with our squad and how few players we actually have to pick from!!

The only way to put the circus out of business is .....
We take responsibility for our actions , we learn and we move on by responding with winning games .
All the majority of fans care about is winning games .
That's what brings crowds back to the football and away from the circus .

More drama for Manly?

The drama keeps on pouring down at Manly, with several players reportedly upset that they were not paid on time recently.

The players had to get their managers to give the Sea Eagles a ‘nudge’ before getting their money - believed to be related to third party deals.

It’s the latest incident in a nightmare week for the Sea Eagles. It all started with the Jackson Hastings fiasco, followed by the revelations players broke curfew to go to a strip club, and to top it all off, a clearly rattled Sea Eagles side was embarrassing on the field against the winless Eels last Sunday.

It’s times like these players generally look to the leadership group - or so you would think.

But at a press call yesterday, representative centre Dylan Walker didn’t even know who was in the leadership group!

Saw that from Dylan yesterday. Not big on this leadership group stuff but if we want to use the term might be an idea to know who is part of it. The whole thing seems bizarre.

lol, Dan should write some code preventing anything from the sporting news to be posted here. Everyone knows about their anti Manly stance headed by that know nothing nuffy ex Bears supporter.

Collectively they have the IQ of a rock, but a third as useful.

Allegedly they were all caught embezzling from their last employers and had to rely on their parents political connections to get them out of trouble.... allegedly.

Look, I should write for the sporting news.

This was apparent yesterday when the door punching druggie was blasting fans on Instagram.Decent inconsistent player but I have never seen him as a true " Manly" boy.
Yeah, couldn't believe he was pulling out the "true fan" card garbage... 5 minutes in the manly jersey and he is now the authority on what a Manly fan is... sheesh!

jus
none of that is actually entrepreneurial
It sounds like a guy thats parents had plenty of money to back up his entrepreneurial follies and when they had weight watchers put him in charge of engaging the marketing companies that did the work. Then they sold for millions and on the provision that he was kept on as global VP in asia and pacific for 6 years. A real Aussie battler.
