I’m fkn floored. I loved Tezza. Especially when he was on the footy show doing his pisstakes down at Dapto Dogs.
As a player, opponents found nothing funny about Tezza when he’d smash them in a tackle, or brush them off with a step and a palm to the face and he’d be gone.
RIP Tezza. Condolences to his family.❤️

Sad news, he was great for manly in the 90s, and contributed a fair bit in his comeback year at manly in 2005, when manly desperately needed experienced players in the rebuild.

Out of interest does anyone know if the original 70s Terry Hill is alive and well.

Truly sad. So enjoyed his efforts for Manly and combination with Craig Innes at centre. Also enjoyed his crazy TV appearances. A real rough diamond that one.

****. I only just found out. He's only around 3 or 4 years older than me. Such an awesome player. Some of his arcing attacking runs were mesmerising where he would put the defence in some kind of a trance momentarily. Great defence also.

I was blessed to meet him on one occassion when I worked at a busy takeaway shop on the highway in the Blue Mountains. He came in with his workmate. I think they were representatives for a cleaning company or chemical company or something along those lines.

He placed an order of an assortment of fried food, seafood etc. I made sure I gave him double or more of what he ordered lol when my boss wasn't looking.

He gave me his mobile number and was going to organise for me to meet all of the players after one of the home games.

Unfortunately I worked extremely long hours and usually only got Monday or Tuesday off so it never eventuated. I was starstruck when he walked in I was lost for words so my boss Angelo took over and informed him how much of a die hard Manly supporter I was.

I remember him as a really genuine nice guy. He went well out of his way for me. He was one of the good guys that's for sure. Heaven awaits 😇

I'm same age as Tezza and saw his whole career. so sad.

This Broncos game was one of the games I thought about when I heard the news too - we were a poor team in 1999 but Tezza was always up for the fight. Loved the games against the Broncos at Brookie, shame we'll never see the Broncos come to Brookie anymore.

That was back in my Moree days , and I used to treat myself to one home game a year and you wouldn’t want to know it but it was THAT game , and that part of the hill I was standing on.

If I remember , we were running just about last & Broncos were the front runners , we were one in a million against.

The crowd went absolutely nuts ( and yes I’m somewhere up there , between the 20 & the goal line screaming with everyone else), the noise was incredible.
