Injuries and Set backs are part of the game

Team resolute is part of a Competent coach

Lets take a look at the New Dolphins team on Debut

The Dophins greatest asset is their Accountable Coach

In their first year they are overachieving and are in top gear and entrenched into the top 8

Adding audacity into the salt to the wounds of teams like the struggling Sea eagles

The Resolutely coached Dolphins have had seven dominant players out injured but their set backs have not dampened their dominant winning ways

The moral of the story
WINNERS DELIVER RESULTS
LOSERS DELIVER EXCUSES
AND COACHES THAT OFFER EXCUSES FOR THEIR TEAMS LOSS EXPOSE THEIR MEDIOCRITY

Poetry from you again my feathered fiend!

Who would have known that failure was a step on the path to failure and Dolphins didn't mind the damp!

It's very true that if there are weekly excuses and the players buy into it, makes losing so much easier with zero expectation and no accountabilty....
Really there should always be enough belief to give yourself a chance, especially in a 13 a side sport where you have a team around you and everyone should be inspiring each other and expecting a Win, or at very least - giving it your all.
This expectation comes from turning up with a resilient attitude that refuses to accept the word failure and will give everything possible to succeed and in doing so, will give a real chance of winning against adversity, bad calls, players injured and all the other bad habits learned for the "excuse book" which is not a motivational read.

Dolphins = "Entrenched in the top 8"

Manly = "Struggling Seas Eagles"

Dolphins = "Dominant winning ways

The Dolphins are on 12 points and Manly are on 11.

Both teams have lost 4 games.

Geeez our realities really are whatever narrative we decide

The Manly Mediocre excuses for underachieving Perspective.....

The top 8 Dolphins have 6 wins

The Bottom of the 8 Manly have 4 wins one draw and 2 points for a bye
And it is Bye bye to your Excuses @Disco

The overachieving Dolphins on NRL debut who every one tipped to run last
In their first maiden year and not being able to land a Markee player
Are above and beyond over achieving

Every Nrl expert on 360 and every NRL footy person quite understandably tipped the Dolphis on debut to finish last

But Great coaches have the last say and they make a 360 turn around on adversity and prevail

No excuses
Excuses are for the Incompetent that have no answers

One final say
The more excuses people make for failure
The more incompetent they appear to be
Have a nice day feathered friends

Keep up our passion pride and our Legendary clubs high standards
and Keep the Bastards Honest

Bennetts good but the real quiet achievers are the old storm forward pack leading them. No wonder storm have dropped down this year

Bellamy always seems to wether the storm and prevail
The storm have lost a lot of experienced players and players to injury
But they have not lost their way into the top 8
Currently on 6th spot

Everyone is right in this thread.

What is clear is that Manly are performing well below expectations and the Dolphins well above.

The difference and key factor is the ability to play as a team.

No matter how you look at it Manly are on notice this week. DCE being forced to top the tackle count should send waves of shame to the whole lot of them, But Cooper, Tuilungi, and Saab in particular.

If there isnt a measurable improvement from these three in terms of effort areas and courage, along with the rest of the Manly team I don’t care what changes Siebold makes, they may as well warm up the popcorn because they will be watching the finals.

In fact, I’ll encourage any changes. Mediocrity should not be tolerated.

They still have a gun spine and some big forwards, so they certainly can be better but im not so sure where they’ll finish at this stage.

I think we are seeing that the forward pack really helped elevate them to that top tier and now more pressure is on munster/hughes. Meaney is great.

They still have a gun spine and some big forwards,
They still have a gun side Because Bellamy is holding the Gun

The fact is that They lost a lot of lethal bullets in papenhausen Bromich brothers and Kafusi etc
But they are still firing in the top 8

Oh please

No excuses, simply pointing out the Dolphins are neither entrenched in the top 8 nor are they having dominant winning ways.

I will agree they are over achieving based on expectations.
