Bold to assume we are making finals. This competition is anyones guess, if one or two matches dont fall our way we could easily finish outside the 8 regardless of how red hot we look.

Anyway my squad is as follows if everyone is fully fit;

1. Tom
2. Saab
3. Koula
4. Parker
5. Garrick
6. Schuster
7. DCE
8. Paseka
9. Croker
10. Jake
11. Olakau'atu
12. Fainu
13. Keppie
14. Lawton
15. Sipley
16. Bullemor
17. Aloiai

There are some potential longer-term changes but those are the best players we have right now. Players like Vaega are close, I wouldn't shuffle the backline to fit him in yet. Haven't seen enough of GCKT and wouldn't blood him in finals unless he makes his way in through injuries and cements a position.

Still not sure of Jake's best position, he might well still be better at 13. Keppie has been a juggernaut at lock though.

Let’s all have a chew!
Comp is so tight. Our problem with our list is when fully fit we can beat most teams. Take a couple out and we drop off significantly. Our key at the back end is keeping players in key positions on the field. So far again this year we have been dudded out of wins due to having plenty of players out on the sidelines. I know all teams deal with injuries, but compare our year to Brisbane so far. Chalk and cheese when it comes to our outs.

I rate this side but I’d like to see how Garrick defends against some quality opposition on the back foot. If he can handle it, I’d like him at centre because he’ll turn half chances into tries more so than Parker.

I’d also swap Jake and Keppie. Jake is a better ball distributor and Keppie’s hit ups are better so makes sense.

This week will be a good test for our speedy centre partners against Simmonson and Penisini who are in good form. We really need the pack to be mean and hungry this week and we need to play error free footy again this week.

Just a few observations; I want to see Gordon given a go but at the moment he is untried at the top level. We do look like we need another winger with a turn of speed. I don't know how anyone could leave Bully out of the top 17 based on this year's performances.

Good line up, I like it.

It's a fair call and Garrick might well be the long term option at Centre.

What I meant by shuffling the backline is that if Garrick is Centre then that means dropping Parker for Vaega. Vaega has potential but Id rather the team make that decision in the off season or try it in the early season.

Why people have Garrick at centre is beyond me, he is a terrible terrible defender just ask Dom Young from the Knights.
The top flight centres would murder him.
Let’s look at who was marking him last week, Branko Lee on one leg.
The wing position is the only position he should play.

Those Dom Young tries were a product of speed and nothing to do with poor technique or a bad read.

In saying that, it’s reasonable to have reservations about his defence at centre because he hasn’t spent enough time there in FG to emphatically determine if he is up to it or not. Given his three tries and hand a couple of others, it might be worth giving him an opportunity. He may well struggle but it’s worth finding out.
