Taufua a Massive loss

Maybe not the fastest winger in the comp, but near the most Powerful and his runs to dig Manly out of trouble and create momentum has been a huge loss.
The lack of Uate energy in 2018 and the Wright fill in, are close to the worst in the NRL in relation to mistakes, lack of penetration.
Also defensively there have been horror decisions from the wide men, admittedly under pressure from the inside defensive line, but at least Taufua comes out of the line and smashes someone, often closing down a centre or 2nd rower in their tracks.
There are a number of issues at Manly and this is only 1 of them, but its a big part of the modern game to start sets well creating go forward and have wingers defensively prepared to make the tough decisions and take....someone.

Yep also a big reason why Eels are struggling without Semi.

Its nice to have a few backs that can run the ball out of our line and not get driven backwards . Good post maxta , Taufua is a beast

You may not realise it but we have Semi, the tall Fijian winger, playing for us.
Unfortunately his surname is Naisevunivai and he plays for our SC Ball team.
I've only seen him play once and, on this outing, his First name and Fijian heritage are the only resemblances to Radradra.

Agree massive loss, but the major headache yesterday was the ruck area. They ran I think from the stat I read, around 615 metres from 9 breaks that resulted in 3 trys? Were the markers asleep? or useless?

If we absolutely must have winger who can’t catch then we need to come up with a fifth tackle game plan. Maybe we simply get the centres to drop back on the fifth tackle?

No one runs the ball up better than Jorge and (an in form) Uate.
